Vasco's Peri Peri packs flavor and the heat. If you're not familiar with what Peri Peri is, its a seasoning, flavoring, and style of chicken that was originally produced by Portuguese explorers in Portugal's former Southern African territories, particularly Mozambique and its border regions with South Africa, and then spread to other Portuguese domains. And yes, I totally stole that last sentence from Wikipedia.Vasco's has a variety of stuff on their menu, including burgers, paneer, falafels, chicken and rice, and chicken sandwiches, to name a few. You go up to the front, order from either a paper menu or the overhead menu, pay, and grab a number and table. They will bring out the food for you.Pro-tip: the burgers, are not ones made with beef, to my son's dismay, but made of chicken. Why it's not called a chicken burger, I don't know. In either case, the sandwiches come in this very fluffy, very tasty ciabatta bread. I ordered the "Samarai Burger", which had peri peri chicken, romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, samurai and garlic sauce. It was scrum-diddly-umptious! The got the chicken in a mild sauce, and it had the right kick. Note, one of my friends got the hot, and dude was in pain. I believe the hottest there is is "Dynamite" and you need to sign a waiver for it. No joke.I ordered a side of seasoned fries and it was pretty good. Food came out fast, chicken was mildly dry, but still tasty, and overall, great food.BATHROOM REVIEW: Located around the corner, opposite wall to the kitchen, the bathrooms are single-person bathrooms. Inside the mens, the urinal was broken, but kudos for the sign. Toilet was "meh" but workable, and the sink and super-powerful hand dryer were good. Sit or squat? Squat.
This chicken is very delicious!! I ordered my food and got it within 15 minutes, they make everything fresh. I ordered the mild chicken and ate it with garlic sauce. I recommend mild for everyone unless they big on spicy food because medium and up starts to get too spicy at least for me. This place is a great place to check out and try all of the food is zabiha halal also so great place to take a Muslim family to.
Had food from here after a long time! The taste is the same as before! Awesome!! ?It’s sad that Dine-Ins are empty now. Before, it was used to be packed!! They have increased prices on their menu items but can’t blame them as inflation is the real villain here. Their Medium sauce is really spicy! I would love to see more veg. menu options!
We ordered takeout but this place has plenty of seating for dining indoors. We were pleasantly surprised with the Portuguese and Indian fusion concept. They offer plenty vegan and vegetarian options. The vegan spicy mild wings were a perfect kick and flavors. The vegan wings were soft interior and exterior baked nicely. We loved the Peri Peri sweet potato fries (this is a must if you like spices and flavor). It was very addicting. The Peri Peri casava fries were lightly spiced and delish as well. We also ordered the the Classic Veggie Pita with grilled paneer (or choose falafel or bean patty), lettuce, diced tomatoes, and their vasconaise was pretty good. I bet with falafel would be even good and even more I realized should try the Samurai pita which has also includes red onions, samurai sauce and garlic sauce.Limca soda is a popular Indian soda that is unique versus regular lime soda.Pickup order was pretty quick ready by the time we picked up at the time stated which is about 20minutes. Plenty of parking space in the strip mall area.
Really great place! Restaurant is super clean, staff are friendly and food is freshly made. The Menu had some unique options like Cassava fries. Mmmm…so good! Washed it down with some Hanks root beer. My tastebud were satisfied! I’ll be back!
Food is great but they are very stingy with their sauces. When you order out you barely receive any sauce because the chicken doesn’t come with any. They make you buy sauces separately. I’ll gladly modify this review if they revise this policy.***update*** revised to four stars for response.
Delicious! I liked their seasoned fries most of all!
Best peri peri "unreal" wings - must try for vegans. The unreal wings were crispy on the outside and spongy on the inside. Felt as though I was eating real boneless wings. Tried the wings with hot sauce and since I am a spicy eater I may up the spice level next time.Vascorn was boiled corn with peri peri mayo sauce. Perfect side dish for a winter afternoon. Tasted good with a hint of sauce sauce. We would rate the Half chicken with medium spice sauce 4 out of 5 since we felt it could be marinated for a longer time. We dint feel it was marinated for 24hrs as they proclaimed.Vasco's rice was veggie biryani but without any veggies.
Excellent, unassuming and wonderful a place to get good food. The chicken is tender and always well cooked and the sauces are hot and tangy. Food arrives fairly quickly and accurately. The chicken rice bowls with peri fries, hot and garlic sauce is heavenly. Best if you could dine in v/s carry out. The staff is prompt, helpful and polite. Luis does great recommendations on the menu items. I wouldn’t have tried the lemon & herb sauce otherwise. Catering portions are good. Desserts can be better. The restaurant should include hot and garlic per carry out order v/s just giving choice of only 1.
Food was really delicious. They have great variety of sauces. The chicken rice bowl and Wings with lemon and herb sauce was the best!!!The service was awesome, employees are friendly and they gave us a lot of good suggestions which I will try on next time.
