Good times! Staff is the best!

Besides Martina’s snobby attitude & treatment, I’m giving a 5 star review. I asked her for a booth & she took us to a table. She stated she didn’t have servers at the booths. Yet a few minutes later she sat 3 different set of people at booths. White people. Are you trying to set a racist tone here? I got way better treatment at Gordon Ramsay’s, Michael Jordan’s & Ditkas than this. Seriously & I’m coming back. If Martina is there, I will ask, am I at the status to get a booth finally? Since I’ll be bringing some white friends for ya. Anyways the food was delicious & so were the drinks. Our waitress Adeloya was super sweet & attentive which helped alleviate Martina’s treatment. The place is cute & nice. They clean the tables very well afterwards.I like the molcajate salsa & they give you a large portion of really well made chips. The margaritas are not overwhelmed with tequila & made well. The steak was cooked perfectly in my steak fajita bowl.Anyways will be returning as stated above because my friends want to dine in and the food and drinks were good.

Delicious Mexican food. Well seasoned and plentiful. I loved the steak fajita bowl with rice, black beans, roasted corn, cherry tomatoes, and toasted fajita strips with chunks of marinated steak. Add a raspberry tea and your meal is complete.

Service was slow even though it wasn’t busy at all. Tortilla chips were oily and stale as though they were old chips that were retried to refresh. Chicken and beef fajita meats were hard and dry. Fajita veggies were mostly yellow onion and not much else. The beef taco salad was meh. The chocolate piñata was full of dry, stale churros. We’re thinking we were served leftover food from the previous days. Nothing was fresh. Very disappointing to say the least. We’d not subject anyone to such a horrible dining experience and pay a lot of money for mediocre food and service. Mago in South barrington is way better in terms of food quality and price.

Went to Uncle Julio's for dinner. Had queso, shrimp fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and habanero stuffed shrimp. I am not sure we like tex mex, as we were expecting it to be more Mexican than "tex" but it was decent. Giving it five stars because their chocolate piñata was worth the entire visit. It was filled with fruit and churros. It is absolutely something to experience and highly recommend giving it a try, at least once. Definitely bring some people to help you eat it because it is way too much for two!

We went here for my 7 year olds birthday. Got seated and served in a timely manner for a Saturday evening. BUT, we are all horrifically sick today after eating there last night. HORRIFICALLY SICK! Vomiting and diarrhea that started this morning. I will immediately be reporting this restaurant to the health department. We had chicken and steak fajitas and my son had chicken tacos. We all ate the chips. Ordered a chocolate piñata too for the birthday. For the price we paid and to be so sick the next day is ridiculous.

I would give a 0 but since it’s not possible I give them a 1 star rating. Shrimp was dry not even a bit of sauce just spice. Asked for medium cooked steak and was EXTREMELY burnt, and on top of that I asked the waiter if the enchiladas came with a green sauce and she said yes but they came heavily covered in cheese and no green sauce just cheese on it. I expected great things from this place but NEVER AGAIN! so disappointed.

Amazing experience!! Of course, it includes great food and great service. We had such a wonderful family and friends leisurely dinner with amazing service by our server Jackie. We ended with delicious Chocolate Pinata!! Worth a try!!

Nice Mexican restaurant decor, nice Latina dancer paintings on the walls, lighting is dem and cozy. They make fresh tortillas in a mechanical tortilla maker in the center of the restaurant super cool. Chips and salsa are one of a kind. Good place a date.

The flavors popped, the carne asada was cooked just right, and the blood orange margarita was VERY tasty
