Loved the service and the food was amazing! Prices are just right ❤️
The food quality has changed , from before. The food quality was not good for its price. Also the worst thing is that they serve Sambhar in a plastic disposable dish. Like they can't even afford cutlery. Everything was served in a Plastic dish also the forks and spoons were plastic.Very disorganized restaurant. I have been to this udupi before and the owner was different and the quality and esthetics were much better before than nowadays .
Vegetarian based review: the taste of the food is average. For some of the items prices are little bit higher compared to other Indian restaurants. Employees are very friendly.Medu vada is little hard and won't taste like south Indian medu vada. In the onion utthapam you won't find much onions. Veg Cutlet is totally different. One interesting thing is they don't have bottled drinking water. Theygive open glass vase (without lid) and disposable tumbler/cup.

Worst food and tasteless, and what not. Total disaster, we ordered tamarind rice, and it is just rice mixed with some powder, and ordered Gulab jamun, it was spoiled and the Kept it several days in fridge and gave it to us. Never had such spoiled sweet in my life. And idly Sambar, it was served us with 2 to 3 days back cooked idly. Pls don’t consider this restaurant and waste money
Being from South India I crave for the typical tasty and spicy food. I have to say it was really disappointing. I had ordered uthappam and it was pretty loaded big with no taste and loaded with Jalapeno peppers. Didnt know we ran out of green chilly peppers. The vada was not crispy and with taste.. would have expected some peppercorn bites and little salt. It was fresh and hence not rating bad. It felt more catered to a different crowd than for South Indians.
The food is 5 stars in my experience, everything I've had has been delicious. I love dosas, and was searching for a good restaurant that served them. The food here is far superior than any other Indian restaurant I've tried in Schaumburg. I drive from an hour away to eat here. Not only is the food good, but the staff is always very friendly, prompt and attentive which I find to be a rarity at the Indian restaurants I've visited. The only reason a star is missing is because the bathroom is not cleaned properly. If everything else wasn't so amazing the bathroom would put me off eating there. Bathrooms are a reflection of overall cleanliness and the care for sanitization, which makes one wonder about the kitchen practices.
I don’t know what’s wrong with people leaving less than 5 stars. This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to (not just the best Indian restaurant). The atmosphere is a little different (fake palm trees) but the food is amazing. You must try the Udupi chaat and the masala dosa.
The South Indian food is delicious. Quantity is good. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend this for great food.
My husband and I went here for our Anniversary and when we called, were disappointed that the Buffet was not being offered (perhaps due to Covid). However, we went anyway and were very pleasantly surprised. We chose the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry and an order of Samosas. All came beautifully arrayed on our very large plates and the taste was delicious. What a great price, too. Plus, we had enough take-home to have for dinner. Our waiters were very attentive, as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.
