This place is terrific. It's a little pricer than your neighboring Mexican joints but it's well worth it. The fushion/ speciality tacos here are remarkable and creative. Definitely something you won't find elsewhere.I got 4 tacos ( dorado, chicken tinga, shrimp and Nashville hot chicken). The chicken is halal. My favorite was the dorda fish taco. The batter is crispy and light enough so it doesn't empower the taste of the white fish. Their chipotle mayo and toppings take it up a notch.The other taco worth noting was the Nashville Hot. I didn't know what to expect with Mexican and Southern American spices but it was banging! Lastly, don't forget the salsa bar they got an amazing selection.
Ordered delivery tonight. Half of the items were missing and the ones we did get didn't even have all the ingredients listed. We didn't even make any substitutions or special requests. Food arrived on time but it was cold. How is that even possible? Food we did get was barely ok, portions were tiny, and way overpriced. Plenty of far better Mexican places out there. We'll be sticking with the tried and true going forward. Skip this place if you're looking for a good Mexican dinner.***FYI, we are very kind and understanding with restaurants. Hubby is a chef in the city and I worked in the industry for several years. This was beyond unacceptable.
I visited Taco Maya with my sister on my visit to schamburg. The food was very tasty. We ordered chips and salsa, elotes, veggi fajita taco, and paneer Taco. The sauces were very tasty. It added to the taste of food. The owner ODI came afterwards. He being close friend of my sister gave us a complimentary fried icecream. Overall it was a very nice experience having different variety of Taco as compared to Taco Bell. Must visit during trip to Schamburg, Chicago IL.

The beans and rice and guacamole where bland as all get out. My steak burrito had nothing but lettuce and cilantro. Dry as h***. Never been so disappointed in my life with Mexican food. Amazing stuff from the get go until the end. The food is super good and the desserts were just as delicious. I would for sure recommend this to family and friends. It was my first time at the Schaumburg location but the service has been good each time in each restaurant. The tacos are not your usual but are amazing!!
Went to taco maya with my friends and it was a great experience. The food was amazing and the employee’s worked really fast to bring our food. A worker, Harry was super friendly and made my whole experience. Would definitely go here again.

Amazing service by Harry!!! He was very kind and a great server. Overall its a very welcoming and friendly taco restaurant! Got 3 tacos and they are decently sized and tasted bomb.
