Potlam Chicken Pulav served on banana leaf was really good, it had the flavor of leaf induced in it. Boneless Chicken Biryani was decent. Gutti Vankay Pulav was too good, Paneer Biryani just fine. Curry leaf Gobi, Monagadu Paneer were average. Chicken Apetizers and Prawns were tasty. Overall for 6 people, the quantity was really good and had a lot of boxes to pack them all for dinner. We couldn't really taste the Kheema (Goat) Biryani we ordered since we were already full but the couple of spoons we had didn't have a good taste, By dinner time it was already spoilt. 3 stars experience. Would recommend this restaurant if you are tired of the ones on Devon and have time to drive.
I bought a veg dum biryani today. It was over spicy and not good to eat at all. Ended up throwing it to garbage and order from another place. It was not used to be this spicy. Called them to check. As per the response this is a medium spicy one and this is the standard for their veg dum biryani. Disappointing!!. I will not get this again for here. Giving a 2 star for the quantity and keeping it ready for pickup on time.
They have above average consistent taste on their dishes, especially Biriyani and never disappoints. However their specials seems really good . We tried their Pottalam Biriyani- Chicken that was really good . More than enough for two people . I always order from here , their customer service is very good as well .
This Indian restaurant is my go to Indian place. I usually come here to treat myself to something spectacular. In particular I love their boneless chicken biryani. Usually I also order garlic naan and this time around I got veg samosas. The food is simly amazing and unless you show up later without ordering ahead of time, you will be stuck waiting because it gets busy. Get the early in the evening or call and order ahead of time if picking up.
It is a good place for South Indian take out. Our take out experience has been good so far. Biryani is awesome. We did not like North Indian dishes from here. Our Dine in experience was not great. While dining in, the food is not served in order. Whatever gets ready will arrive first. In our group, one person’s order came very late while others were almost getting over. Just a heads up, Bottle water is served and there is an additional cost for it. Twice we went for dine in and there was additional 18% service charge.
Good food and good ambiance. Customer service was good, and waiters were respectful.Food has multiple options budget, regular, family, and jumbo, and it helps you choose what you want.I wish they opened a little late. It seemed we got rushed in the end, but we can understand it's their closing time.
The bestest Indian restaurant I’d say compared to many others in major cities that I’ve tried so far. Even their mushroom soup tastes so damn good. If you’re visiting Chicago and have hard time finding a great Indian dining, think not and head to this place. Their shrimp curry was out of the world with the right amount of spices and perfectly cooked shrimp. I also vote the most for their Kotthu Parota. Just beware that the quantity of kotthu parota is good enough to be shared between 3. It is spicy as well if your taste buds are craving some Indian food don’t hesitate to grab one of this. Their chapati/roti are not made from scratch it was just a frozen one that was reheated and cooked I believe.
This place is a go to place for me for proper Indian food. The food tastes great. Always had a great experience. It’s so reasonable that two people can have their perfect fulfilling meal in just 25-30$.
I wish I have a choice to give 0 stars. I order mutton paya at 9.30pm on Jan 14th Friday. I picked it up around 10pm same day. The food was so worst and when I opened the box it was stinking . It literally smells like an OPEN DRAINAGE HOLE. It really surprises me that how can some one pack food with such a strong STINKING smell. It does not deserve any thing other than a TRASH CAN. I will never order again from this place. Below is the image.
I ordered veg dum biryani at 9.45 pm on 25th Dec 2021 and I picked it up at 10.10 pm. It is smelling like wired(feels like cooked 2 days back and served today). This is not the first time we faced the same issue. As it is H’day season and we don’t have another option we preferred the this location. While ordering we mentioned the same and they assured the fresh items to be delivered . We believed in them and ordered items and we got fooled again. We trashed whole food and slept with empty stomach.
