We used to love honest food a lot. We used to go over there because of the quality and taste. This is our recent experience where in we did a togo order and in one of the dish which we ordered there was "black ant".I am not even going to recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointed with this.
Hit or miss food quality and taste. The bhaji pav taste changes based on the day you go. Some days they add uncooked bell peppers for some reason.Chole bhature they didn't even bother to heat up and mix it before handing it to us for pick up (attaching pic of the spices bundled at the bottom) DONT ORDERPanner Butter Masala: go next door.. the panner is frozen, the sauce is tasteless... Don't even botherFor such a larger franchise it's sad they can't maintain quality and taste.. the one thing they are known for in India.
Terrible experience! We ordered Chana Bhatura & Pulav through Uber Eats and were shocked to find them spoiled. There was a distinct sour smell and taste when we tried them. The only explanation we can come to is that they were old and should've been tossed instead. Really disappointed with Honest and their customer service in trying to make the situation right.
Honest has been a regular place while we shop at Patel. The dosa and pav bhaji was good however chaat didn’t meet our expectations. The samosa in one of the chat didn’t taste good.Initially when we ordered for the dosa the lady taking orders said that dosa will take 20 min or more as there are lot of orders and after we placed order for chaat and other snacks she mentioned that ordering dosa also should be fine. We did order and get the dosa within 8-10 min. We went back to order and same story again, we still order dosa and again got it very much earlier than stated by her. The reason I mention this here is bcoz I somehow feel she wanted us to order/ sell other snacks.
Just as good as their sister spot in Naperville, but for some reason the Manchurian Gravy is not as flavorful but still good. I love the Dahi Puri here!
The samosa chat was amazing! It was freshly made and very delicious! I'm just giving 4 stars cuz the price is a bit higher than other similar restaurants. ? ?
Food is very good. Busy during lunch hours. Reserve a table if you are going on a weekend
I used to love this Honest so much. Literally every time family was over we’d go here in big groups, I’d go here with my mom, my sister, my fiancé, my friends, everyone. Overtime though, this place has significantly declined, not only with quality of food, but portion size, and prices. I’ve done several Uber eats orders where I ordered noodles and they were ice cold, poorly packaged and just absolutely gross. Even the pav bhaji is nothing special. Honest was one of a kind before but nothing is the same. I would at least expect their pav bhaji to be the same since it’s their specialty but after many disappointing dine in’s and delivery orders, I am not a fan of this restaurant anymore. They’re also just overall really expensive in my opinion. Of course IF they had a great remodeled ambience inside, nice bathroom, sit down ordering service, I would agree with the prices. However this place has not remodeled, their bathrooms are very old, seating is not enough, and the worst part is you have to actually wait in line to order rather than getting sit down service where the waiter comes to you. I really don’t get where the prices are coming from. Oh yeah- they expect tip after you order too- like for what?! I literally just got here, I’m in line, and I’m placing my order. I have not sat down, I have not tried the food, I have not received ANY service and you want me to tip right now? Some places are ridiculous.
Great Indian street food. The taste of pav bhaji and baked cheese pizza is so good. The quality and quantity of food is good!
