I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food. I absolutely found this place to be delicious with excellent service. I am so happy I found this restaurant in the suburbs. The service was stellar! I never leave reviews but this place was so amazing. It’s a place you should go with friends or family. I ordered enchiladas suizas and we also ordered the carnitas plate, and a fantastic Mango margarita.
Food is great here! But ordered food to go once and didn't receive any tortillas for both entrees (fajita meal + Chile relleno meal ), no salsa , or utensils. Called to give complaint but manager didn't seem bothered. Luckily we had tortillas at home . Salsa also would've been nice.
delicious mojitos and vegetarian offerings, enjoyed outside. welcoming staff made for an enjoyable afternoon.
WONDERFUL food! Doesn’t disappoint. Schaumburg is blessed to have such a wonderful place in its village to gather with family and friends. Beautiful patio too!
Food was OK, but we had to wait 50 min for it. Seems like a long time for a burrito when we got there at 4:45. Then they were ready to take my plate before I was finished eating! It was not crowded when we got there!
Every now and then I have seen this restaurant and I wanted to give it a try, It was a Sunday around 1pm so it was not as busy as other days and since it was raining we couldn't seat outside. Jenny our server led us to our table and I think was the only person working that day, she is bilingual so that was a plus. She did take our drink order and it did not take long for her to bring them, on the other hand the food took a very long time. As for the food, it was good, we had the queso fundido, enchiladas trio, steak fajitas, enchiladas Guanajuato and Enchiladas Suizas, The plates are big enough to share. Perhaps I'll try something else next time and it might be better. Also next time I hope it is a better day so we can seat outside to enjoy the weather while eating. They do have free parking on the back of the restaurant, it is shared with other businesses. They do give chips and salsa while you wait for the food as well. The open space looks nice and plenty of tables to choose from. I did enjoy the music, they played Cumbia among other types.
My party stopped in at 8:50 pm prior to close on a Friday night. Their was a fair bit of customers still. The food was worth any wait. We tried a ton of different dishes, most of which were tacos. We had Shrimp and Mahi Mahi tacos. The seafood tacos were the perfect consistency, not soggy and not overly crisp they were perfect. The chips provided with meal are freshly made and the salsa had a good kick to it. Their guacamole was also fresh and had a good spice as well. We did not try the desserts but they have a delicious looking Tres Leches. I'll have to try it out next time. My recommendation is to stop in at this gem of a restaurant for dinner and a drink.
My wife and I have struggled to find good Mexican food since moving to the Schaumburg/Hoffman area. El Mero Mero is not good, it is OUTSTANDING and we will be eating here as many times as possible. The barbacoa is absolute fire, along with everything else. Shout out to our server Manuel, he was on point from start to finish.
We love this place. It’s my favorite for Mexican food! The waitress is very friendly and does a fantastic job. My BF wanted to come here for his birthday lunch. We can recommend the steak fajitas, beef or chicken enchiladas and steak tacos! Great job guys!
Great margaritas, food & chips. Can’t wait for the outside patio to open
