Picked up a to go order for myself and my fiancé. I order pancakes and corn beef hash with fruit. There was no fruit in the bag, but I wasn’t too worried about it because the pancakes were great and the corn beef hash was well executed. I am I chef and I was appalled at my fiancé’s order though. She ordered eggs benedict . The sauce was completely broken. I spoke to Niko and he told me that the hollandaise sauce broke because is goes into the container too hot? That’s just incorrect. It breaks due to preparation errors.I gave him a chance to make it right but he decided to feed me a line, saying “if it wasn’t delicious we could come back and he would remake it” Nobody wants to go back to a restaurant after getting their food. On top of the broken hollandaise, my fiancés eggs were overcooked. Unimpressed for my first time visit.
We went asked for a table party of 4. Our friends joining us called us to let us know they will be late. The server Dennis was very nice and courteous but the place is terrible. It was dark, tiny booth, dirty bathrooms. We told the hostess we are happy to leave since our friends out going to be late and she told us it is ok! 5 mins later the owner rushes to our booth in a very angry manner, grabs our menus and ordered us to wait outside till our friends come. We were humiliated by the owner and we were the ones that offered to leave!! Do not go to this place. This owner knows nothing about customer service and the place out is not worth your Sunday to ever eat there!!
Service was great and the food was delicious. Went around lunchtime and was sat immediately. We met Niko and he was incredibly friendly. He made conversation with almost everyone who walked through the door. You can tell he takes pride in his establishment by the way he creates relationships with his patrons. Will absolutely be going again!
A must. Huge portions, warm/home-y atmosphere, delecitable tastes, and the best breakfast spot in town. Skillets, pancakes, toast, hot cocoa with whip cream soaring high, you name it. Can't go wrong with this charming, family owned business. The owner greets you with open arms and hustles helping staff to get people seated. Great bang for your buck with leftovers to go.
We grabbed some takeout… Very quick…… Very polite staff…. Big portions… although we did not eat there the restaurants in nice and clean
Nice small restaurant. The food was only okay though. It does get really busy so I would recommend going there early. The staff is really nice and friendly.
My first time here at Niko’s breakfast Club. I had the country skillet with a side of biscuit and gravy. Delicious. Thank you to my waitress Aurora.
Great food and waitstaff. Everyone hustling, including the gregarious owner! Stopped by on way back home to St. Louis. Huge menu for a smaller space but they make it happen. Seems like great teamwork is happening here to make each customer feel special - even sang Happy Birthday to another customer, candle in the pancake as well! On our list for next visit to Chi-town.
Great breakfast spot, has awesome service. It was very cozy. the food came out fast and the prices were very reasonable! Overall great experience, will return and suggest!!
Ate here this morning with my boyfriend, server Aurora was nice but she def favored other customers and their needs more so than ours. Coffee was fresh. We ordered the breakfast club specials and a hash brown to share. French toast and pancakes (you get two pancakes and two half slices of French toast). The eggs were ordered scrambled, but they arrived extremely bubbly and runny, with a microwave like fluff on some. Tasted like no egg I’ve ever had from a shell and more like a carton. Turkey bacon was completely flavorless even though it looked to be cooked fair. We asked for our eggs to be cooked a little longer since they were way to runny for scrambled and then they brought them back burnt and they still had that carton taste so we just couldn’t and didn’t eat them. So glad I didn’t get an omelette. the cakes and French toast was good but def not sweet like you’d think a pancake would be even w syrup. We really don’t have high expectations for breakfast spots, this place was just bland and mediocre.
