we love to eat here. Super great food and staff. the gal behind counter making the sushi rolls always has a smile, even with a face mask on you know she's smiling and has great recommendations if you're not familiar with some items. ? ?

Missed our order. Had to have extra shrimp cooked in back. Slow. Should have removed the cost of extra shrimp as it was their mistake.
Honestly wanted to like this place from the reviews.Ordered sushi near the sushi bar. The fish tasted old and all poor quality. The pieces were falling apart and not rolled properly.Our waitress didn't bring out 2 sides I asked for and never got refills unless we hounded her down.Beyond disappointing. Gave 2 stars for the good drink from the bar.
Graduation party there and been there several times before too..Johnny was our chef and so far the absolute best !I'm amazed how the steaks are so tender & other food tastes amazing... Will return again & again !!! Thankyou. Waitress was very well trained & polite with a smile always ! Ty
Great Japanese restaurant with a lot of good atmosphere. Good affordable food and drinks. Staff were efficient and curtious. Easy for friend group to sit and have a conversation over dinner. Very busy on Saturday night but never waiting long for service. I would recommend the sake flights not be served on a plate with ice.
We love this place. Most of our big family dinners take place here. The dinner for 2 is a steal of a deal, plus you get a little bit of everything. Upgrading to the filet is a must. The chefs have great personality. Fried rice is too die for. Also have tried many different kinds of sushi & sashimi and it never disappoints. Preferred over JMK for us.

Love me some Shogun. Best value for hibachi / teppan in Rockford! They always give you more food than you can eat. Sushi is top notch. Cocktails are on par with any upscale bar anywhere. Even on the busiest of nights, the service is quick and you have food in front of you in no time flat. Great place to take the kids, plenty of tables for parties.
Our chef, Henry, made our family night out great, and cooked amazing food! Our server Abigail made sure we had everything we needed, and the staff sang happy birthday to my sister in law. Highly recommend.
