Used to love coming here, but within the last few months they've really decreased the quality and amount of meat they serve with their food while maintaining the same price. Been eating here for a year and usually my go to place for a weekend treat. Really disappointed with how much they've skimped on their plates
This restaurant is very Americanized, which isn’t the problem. The rice wasn’t thoroughly cooked, all of our sushi was falling apart, serving sizes are super small for sushi. Their stir fry is good and good portioned, but the sushi was what really made me not enjoy the experience.
the portions use to be amazing. now each time I order I get less and less food. even down to the veggies and rice lol. this used to be my go to spot on the weekends, but its been nothing but disappointment the last month I've ordered food.
I had an amazing experience a couple weeks ago, I have been craving the ramen since. Tonight they were out of ramen, we had some appetizers, it was hit and miss. My entree as much as I wanted it to be good it was not up to par. However, I’m not giving up on this place. Restaurant industry is hard, I can relate. It was just a hard night for them. The staff is great, they understood my concerns and listened. Of course I’ll be back for the Pork Ramen.
The food here was beyond delicious!!! I am new to the Rockford area and could not believe a gem like this would be here! Highly recommended to try as much as possible! Will come back over and over!
Absolutely amazing! Our experience at Omakase was superb. From the moment we walked in to the time we walked out.Service was top notch. Danielle our server was wonderful. She answered any questions we had about the menu, offered suggestions, was witty and very attentive. You can tell she loves working at this amazing place and taking care of her customers.We ordered appetizers, sushi, poke bowls and drinks. Presentation and the flavor profiles of everything we had was outstanding. Kudos to the chefs! They are killing it over at Omakase!!Definitely will be back again and again. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday dinner.
If I could give it zero stars I would. The food is decent and the workers are nice, but the "owner" is a piece of work. I was having a nice lunch today with some friends when out of nowhere the manager started screaming and making a scene towards a worker. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. He did it in front of the whole restaurant not even trying to keep his voice down. Take your business elsewhere. It's not worth it to support someone who treats people like that.
Everything about Omakase is great. Our waitress (Jamie) couldn't have been any nicer. The sushi was delicious and the pork belly fried rice was outstanding. If you haven't visited yet, do yourself a favor and give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Atmosphere is great. Food was excellent. We had a reservation for 6pm. Seated right away. We had a group of 6 and the place was very busy. Appetizers and drinks came out in good time. Could not give 5 stars because it took almost an hour to get our main meals...which was mostly sushi rolls, because Ramen was unavailable. Definitely will try again when we are not on timeline... to get to a concert. Overall delicious.
