Food appetizers were pretty good, and took about 10 or so minutes, and the real food took about 25. Keep in mind, my family and I took some larger-ish dishes, and it was busy as heck. The wait was very much worth it, the artwork is interesting to look at for a good 5 minutes.When the food got to us, it looked great.The rice tasted VERY luxurious, and the seasoning was perfect. On the tables, there was some soy sauce, and a shook seasoning bottle thingy, witch had some spicy, kind of, seasoning inside.The sushi was good, and if you can't use chopsticks, you can ask for silverware.Overall, would give a 6 star if I could.Compliments to the workers!Truly amazing!
The oriental vibe set the mood for this deliciousness! Furthermore, Our chef did an incredible job entertaining us as he prepared our food, while our waiter showed attentiveness & went the extra mile. The menu has a nice selection for the grill, along with fresh & tasty sushi. In regards to the bang for your buck, it’s the “Dinner for 2” Our family left with ?
The chef was great, the server was good, the gentleman at welcome desk could have been nicer though, and the food was good. I thought the way they fill the hibachi tables was strange because when several groups after us were brought to their tables, they were guided between our table and the nearby one, which involved a number of people banging into us to get to their table. It was like airplanes boarding the plane front to back and then everyone else bangs into each row getting to their seat. Anyway, this was less ideal for us because we had our baby with us in her stroller/car seat combo. If you bring little ones with you, you may want to ask to be somewhere where other groups won't be walking through you.

JMK Nippon's is my go to for the best Sushi in Rockford. I have been going their for over 30 years and his superior quality and excellent service never changes. Even during the pandemic I still enjoyed carry out and so happy they made it through! Looking forward to many more years calling it one of my favorite places in Rockford.
JMK has always been one of our families favorite places to eat. Terrific atmosphere, delicious libations, mouth watering food, and entertainment to boot. My wife and I always order the dinner for 2 choosing shrimp as opposed to scallops, the filet for our steak, and chicken. The food is always prepared perfectly and the chef never disappoints with both his preparation and overall presentation of the food made. The servers are always quick with drinks and the Sushi/appetizers being brought out to the table. We try to come here atleast once every few months and always leave full and satisfied.
Nice place. Prefer the cafe side , more mellow. Hibachi side has strong good smell from the table side cooking. . Service and food was decent. Nice drinks. Like the sushi rolls more than the sashimi. Have a large menu selection.
Love sushi. ❤ this place is definitely my favorite spits. My tie (spelled it very wrong) are the best drinks.
The food was amazing as always, The chef was excellent. But the server was absolutely terrible to my party of 4 people we constantly had slow service and empty drinks. Now I know you might be tired or busy ect. But when I get to use the rest room and find you just sitting playing on your phone while you haven't been by the table in the last 20 minutes is unacceptable.
Wonderful Valentine’s Day with the wifey and kids we really enjoyed our time here and it was our first time. We definitely will be going back and are waitress was respectful and we felt like she really cared about us
