The fried rice was great as usual but I tried the beef fried rice for the first time and the beef had an odd flavor to it. Not sure if it was seasoning or what but overall still a great experience.
Not sure what is up with the negative reviews. This is solid Chinese take out and my hubs and I order it on nights when we are too tired to cook. We have done pick up from the window and delivery to our home. The food is always hot, tasty, accurate, and delivered quickly/ready on time. The price is right and the food is great. My go to is the cashew chicken, but I also love the Mongolian beef and any flavor of the lo mein and fried rice. My husbands go to is the ham fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken. We both love the egg rolls, soups, chicken sticks, and rangoon. This is by far the best Happy Wok location.
We have been frequenting Happy Wok since we moved here about 30 years ago. Unfortunately, something has changed there … and before Covid-19. The consistency, quality and service are nowhere near what it used to be. Sad to see. That’s on management/owners.
I don't usually leave reviews but I don't appreciate how I was treated. If I could leave a zero I would. I picked up my food today and while I was eating it I noticed a hair in the food. I call to get a refund for the food I couldn't finish and I was told that it was not possible because the cooks don't have hair and the lady blamed it on the cheese from the Crab Rangoons burning, making it look like hair. They refused to refund the money for any of the food. I just asked for a refund on that one item I was not going to eat. I will never be going back to that place.
Worse Chinese food I have ever had in my entire life and I have traveled this country. Why was the shrimp egg fu young sweet and there was zero shrimp inside, they were placed under the patty and the shrimp fried rice was horrible. And I gave them a tip. Foolish of me
Food was horrible this time, order beef fried rice, fries, and Lo mein, the beef didn’t taste like beef at all no flavor, the only thing I liked was the fries, would not recommend
Not bad. Lunch specials come with rice but no drink or egg roll. However, the price is right. I would order egg rolls on the side. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian beef. The fried rice is okay. I would go steamed rice next time. Mongolian Beef is better of the two, large beef pieces and includes mushrooms and lots of onions. The sauce is a little too much (soupy). A little on the sweet side. Will try again sometime soon.
I don't know what people are really complaining about. I think this is pretty good, been here several times and never had bad experience. I never had delivery since I live right up the street so I don't know about that, but always ordered at counter and was ready within 10 minutes even on busy nights.
They stayed open late just to make our order thank you very much to the nice gentleman and Happy Wok
By far this location is the best one in the Rockford area. The food is always great.
