Management is absent. Your staff is trying to run the dinning room along with trying to do their duties. The bar needs a trained mixologist; drinks are coming out with spoiled juices. (And drinks simply mixed wrong) This is a beautiful spot and it has ran very well in the past, please get it together! I really like dinning here.
The food, service, and ambiance was great! I would have given a 5 but the restroom was not in good shape. The âsoapâ bottles were mostly water. I have added water to âstretchâ soap before but this was ridiculous! Staff & guests were not able to properly wash. There was water all over the sinks & countertop. It was just messy!
The only disappointment was that I expected some Japanese food to be offered at a restaurant in the Japanese gardens.
Thoroughly enjoyable! We were impressed by the menu options and then so very pleased with our choices. Salmon Oscar and a seafood blend with home made potato chips. This was followed by a Mocha coffee that was also very impressive. We'll drive the 75 miles again just for the restaurant. Oh, and our waitress was exceptional!
Lovely & attentive staff, delicious drinks, and a wonderful deck for eating al fresco, surrounded by the Japanese Garden.
It began with two different parking lot attendants telling me the lots were full and to go to overflow parking at a nearby school but being unable to tell me where that was located. We were promptly seated and placed our order, so far so good. However, our food arrived lukewarm and my friend's order came to the table incorrectly; that was partially rectified right away but she asked three different people for her salad dressing and more water - which was never delivered - before our waitress returned to check on us. We expressed to her our disappointment at the lack of follow up by the staff, to which our server replied "we're really busy". No apology. Upon returning with our requested items our server's attitude was notably cold and borderline rude. It was clear she did not appreciate our calling out our dissatisfaction. She brought the check and never returned to the table. Yes, they were busy, but no more so than on other occasions when we've dined there on a Saturday, and there were empty tables with no customers waiting. Therefore this was the last time either one of us will ever return.
On a beautiful day, nothing is better than dining on good food, outdoors, in a truly serene setting! Their menu offers a wide variety of delicious options. Everything we had exceeded our expectations. The hostess was very accommodating and our server was personable and efficient. Reservations are highly recommended!
Had breakfast/ lunch with the family, sat outside. Very calming, good environment. The Bloody Mary was very well dressed. Food was great. Generous portions and the waffles were a big hit around the table. Highly recommended!
Showed to our table, then sat waiting for a sever / someone to take our order. After 35 mins waiting, we had to go and find someone to take our order. Was told someone will be there immediately. 10 mins we asked a server nearest to us if he could take our order. He was very polite and apologetic for the wait time. And he took our order even though it wasnât his designated table. The food was fine. We definitely got the impression that if youâre face was known ( a regular ) you received instant service. The lunch and trip to the gardens were a very special surprise for my wife. So we left a somewhat disappointed
