This was one of the worst experiences in a restaurant I’ve had in a really long time! Our server was smiley, but extremely slow. Some of our order started coming out 35 minutes after ordering. There is apparently no teamwork, as the lone server for our 12-top walked out 2 plates at a time with huge gaps in between trips. It took over 10 minutes to walk out the order in it’s entirety. My meal was a disappointment. After all that time, my brisket and ribs were both very cold, as was the broccoli with the black spots. The Cesar salad had stale croutons that were spongy. The server never came to check how the food was, but honestly if I worked there, I wouldn’t ask about the food either! The restaurant was completely dead at 6pm on a Saturday, we should have taken that as a clue and gone elsewhere. The handful of other guests in there were also complaining about unacceptably long ticket times for food, with seemingly no cares given by the staff. Don’t waste your time and money here.
First visit! Service was excellent, ribs and the corn muffin were good.
Ordered 3 hours ago to avoid any issues. Was told to arrive at 5:15 to pick up food. I called before heading over to verify and was told it would only take about 5 minutes. Got here paid and told food wasn't even being prepared yet. Hopefully the food's good to make up for this 20 minute wait. I don't mean to be negative just odd difference in communication.
Staff was great. The Country chicken was delicious. The French fries and baked beans were goood. I'll recommend this place to my friends and family. Keep up the excellent work!
The food and service was great. I live in a town the didn't have a famous Dave's anymore, I traveled all the way to Rockford with my son and granddaughter since it was my birthday. Great day.
We went to famous Dave's on Perryville in Rockford Illinois on Monday 5/16/22. They were short staffed as is the norm everywhere but the bartender/waitress Gina was so wonderful and accommodating. She had been dealing with such rudeness we felt bad for her. This didn't stop her from greeting us with a smile and the best service. The world needs more Ginas!!!
20 plus minutes for any employee to notice me, red head bartender so upset sweating all the time with high frustration. She actually called a customer a [email protected]$) [email protected]($$& under her breath, but we still heard her. they are constantly complaining about no help. When our chicken strips arrived, there were no napkins/paper towels, no offer of any bbq sauce. She did not ask how things were. We were seated at the bar and ordered a takeout. The bartender did not even ask us if we wanted another beer. We were at the Rockford location use to be a great place to eat but the last 3 times I been there it’s been terrible,
Best ribs in town, ??the St. Louis ribs were just ?out of this world. Highly recommend. Affordable and great location.I’ll be back soon ?.
I give these guys a lot of credit.They seated our enormous group (youth soccer team and parents) on a Saturday night when most places wouldn't even let you in the door. Our waitress did a great job accommodating us and as most people know, Daves is a very solid chain BBQ spot.
Feel good comfort food with a rustic vibe. Furthermore, the paper menu feels generic, uninviting & a limited amount of items compared to the “original” menu. Please keep in mind that there is a lunch menu which apparently you have to ask for. Regards to the food, it’s tasty yet pricey.
