The unusuals were awesome. So many different varieties of granita, I'll have to go back and try them all!
Used to be one of my favorite places in the city. Unfortunately today I found out the quality has diminished.
Finally made it back to Benny's!! I got my usual the "UNUSUAL". I also introduced my husband to the "UNUSUAL". He loved it!!. Forgot to take a pic, was to busy enjoying my dessert??. If you're ever in Rockford Illinois, stop by Benny's Dariette.

Had the unusual granita soft serve combo and it was amazing. Exactly what the dr ordered. My wife had the granita, then we shared some crispy onion rings with boom boom sauce(?) and we tried the loaded Buffalo Chicken French Fries. We went for a snack an ended up having dinner. It was great! Highly recommend!!
Ice cream is good, but the icecream cups seem to have changed. The small cups of Ice cream is very small now & to charge $4 is kinda of pricey.

Benny was the place for lemon ice cream lemon granita in the unusual so sad when out of business today.
