Since The Abby stated it was a Quincy tradition we had supper there. Hubby had their rib basket with fries, coleslaw and a side salad. I had their sirloin steak with baked potato and side salad. Hubby's dinner was very good in fact I liked the ribs better than the sirloin. They have the kind of fries I really like. My medium cooked sirloin was a little tough (I typically don't order sirloin just because it is usually tough but I didn't feel like paying $10 more for their other steaks). Service was good. Inside the restaurant is very nice however if you're in the same room as the bar it's EXTREMELY dark! The lights over the booths could use another working light bulb.
I just had the absolutely best carry out meals I have ever had in Quincy, IL STEAK WAS PERFECTLY COOKED MEDIUM, SHRIMP WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION AND LOAF OF BREAD WAS SCRUMPTIOUS. WIll be going back very soon.
This is one of Quincy's most popular locally owned establishments. Everything I've had here has been very good but the burgers are exceptional. The interior and atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxed and the staff has hustle while still being attentive and welcoming. The new addition with extra seating and the drive thru is great. My only suggestion would be a larger waiting area and/or a separate exit. When they are busy (which is always ?), patrons waiting for tables are packed in like sardines in the small entranceway and those leaving have to bob and weave thru the crowd. It's uncomfortable.

The Abbey's house made mozzarella sticks are absolutely the most perfect available. In fact, I will go so far as to say that they are the best food available on the entire Earth.
Crowded, noisy. Long wait time. Food good but getting high priced.
