Went for lunch at 11am and was greeted by friendly employees. Our server Madison was outstanding. The BBQ Meats were juicy and had just enough smoke but not overpowering. We got pulled pork, brisket & sausage. The sausage was very good. The cooked cinnamon apples were perfect, not overly sweet, and still had a good bite, not too mushy. The Pigtails (curly fries, cheese sauce & pulled pork) were excellent. The potato salad was fresh, and the corn muffins were moist and flavorful.

So the good, they have awesome chicken wings and homemade lemonade; along with great service and specials every day of the week. The sauces were also nice, that was not lost on the choice of which you prefer. They range from a Memphis sweet (Brown sugar/molasses), to a tangy Kansas City (vinegar, molasses, and black pepper), to Carolina Gold (vinegar based) to the Texas Spicy which has some cayenne/white pepper) in it. (not much but it sneaks up on you.) We ordered the Kristen's Sampler (appetizer) and the Trio Sampler with brisket, ribs, and bbq chicken and baked beans with baked Mac and cheese. All healthy sized portions on most of the food, always a plus. Now, we were a bit underwhelmed by the rub on the meats, and the baked beans had trimmings in so that was like the meat. The baked Mac and cheese was topped with trimmings and it tasted likemeat and it tasted like a powdered cheese, the noodles were losing their shapes. We did eat the majority of the food, seeing if it was just our pallets. Which isn't the case.We probably won't return, but it is what it is.

I go by all the time, finally decided to try it out and I was so disappointed! My husband's meat looked quite dry and he said only the outside was hot. It certainly looked like it had a moment of reheating on the flame before coming to the table. I don't eat meat, but appreciate all the comfort food sides. Everything was canned! Green beans- canned! Baked beans-canned! Potatoes-instant potatoes! I'm sure the cornbread was Jiffy judging by the rest of our meal, but it was good. I imagine most of us could do better at home. Tiny side portions are not worth the upcharge. Definitely not coming back! Wasn't even busy for a Friday and absolutely nothing was hot!

My girlfriend and I love BBQ and are always on the lookout for a new spot to try. We were in the area so we searched for BBQ Restaurants and Riverside BBQ & Grill popped up with decent reviews. We called ahead to check on seating and they told us to come on in as there was no wait at the moment. The moment we arrived in the door the greeter informed us that they just received a rather large party and that they will not be able to seat us. I informed the greeter that we called only 3 to 4 minutes ago and were welcomed to come on in. She needed to get the manager's approval before letting us sit. If I knew then what I know now I would've never even bothered showing up.On the outside it was appealing, but on the inside was a completely different story. It was all run down and maybe it was meant to look that way. It was more of a bar than it was a restaurant in my eyes. The service was adequate and the portion sizes were small for the prices they were charging. I will give them props on the potato salad and beans. I liked the sausage too, but it would have been better with an adult sized portion. The brisket consisted of 2 dry cubes of meat and ribs was mostly bone. This was not my idea of a decent BBQ restaurant and we will not be returning or recommending.

Visiting in Quincy. Someone recommended this place and it's in the parking lot of the hotel where I'm staying. I'm not a big fan of BBQ but after a long day I decided to order to go and take it to my room. I found a pork tenderloin sandwich on the menu. It didn't have BBQ sauce, which was good. I thought $10.99 was a little pricey but I was tired and hungry. Well, it is well worth the cost. It was big enough to feed 2 people. I was very pleased with food.

We went Saturday, March 5th and the food was amazing! It was absolutely delicious and seasoned and cooked to perfection. The waitress was AWESOME! Her name was Jennifer! Thank you for a great experience!

Had an early supper at Riverside Smoke House. Neither one of us had BBQ. Hubby had their catfish and really enjoyed it. I had the smokin hawaiian burger and it beat Red Robins Banzai burger! Their booths should be replaced, the one we sat at the seat was ALL tore up so a little investment into their business would make a big difference. If we lived in the area we would definitely go back or order take out.

WE WILL NEVER GONE BACK AGAIN!! They added an extra$23 dollar gratuity to the bill plus charged me a fee for using my card!! Asked the waitress about it and the response was oh yeah we do that. It's not something we tell people in a hush tone. It's on the door when you come in. Well it is not because we looked on the way out. Well they got me for an extra $30 plus dollars I wasn't expecting to spend. The ribs I got were tiny. The brisket had no flavor. The baked beans looked like they poured them straight from the can into a bowl. Corn on the cob was hardly cooked. We got there before the supper rush and they was out of chicken and baked potatoes. All the waitress had to say was well I guess someone didn't prepare enough. Plus do not drink too much. There is only one restroom for the restaurant. The best thing about the place was the sauce. If someone from Riverside is reading this... enjoy the money you stole from me. It's the last penny you get of mine.

I had the bbq chicken wings, mac and cheese and a salad. After the first time I had it 3 days straight. Good eating. Get the spicy bbq sauce. Make sure to book a reservation or get there early, that place is constantly busy.

This was our second time eating here, but our first time with a large group. We really appreciated a large room where we could all sit near one another. The food was great and service was fast. I would recommend the lunch brisket plate with garlic mashed potatoes! The gold bbq sauce was everyone's favorite.
