Nostalgic treat whenever I pass through Quincy. Nachos and wings were good and you can't beat the price!
I have not eaten there for years and I was hesitant to eat there again but because family from out of town wanted to meet there I went. The food is horrible! The pizza crust was soggy and the toppings sucked! It's the worse pizza I've ever eaten in a so called pizzeria. Instead of pizza, which I new was bad, I ordered a couple of tacos and they were tasteless and bland. The food is more suited for kids. Never again!
The atmosphere, service, food, and beverages are always stellar. Pizza is perfect, Mexican dishes are superb, & my friends certainly enjoyed their margaritas!
It took forever to get waited on. Then our food took twice as long. We ordered a appetizer for 10$ 1 potato skin 3 wings a thin row if shredded lettuce and 4 pieces of tomato . Yeah not impressed
The Pizza and The Salsa here is Fantastic to Start Off. I was feeling like something a little different tonight. I've been away for 5 years and came back, I remembered how great the fajitas were here from back then and wanted to get them again... Mistakes were made... Attached Picture is the Fajitas I got I only moved the Onions to the side. The Steak was Very Tough and hard to Chew (almost like it was from a frozen kit). The Chicken Tasted Great Cubed with a Hint of Pineapple but it wasn't typical "fajita chicken" they had before (wondering if they came frozen as well?) The portions of meat were so small compared to what I remembered, I used to run out of tortillas before I ran out of meat. Some of the Onions were raw? If I was a New Customer who ordered these I would never come back. Luckily I know how amazing the pizza is but left very unsatisfied.
This was my second time there and I was not impressed with the food.Server was nice and did her jobWe ordered wings- they were not good, a cheese pizza - this was really good and the star of the meal, and steak fajitas- there was not a lot of meat on the platter and the meat was tough and in really big pieces, not like normal fajitas and there was probably a whole onion, way too muchWas hoping for better. Next time I will only order their pizza.
Been going to this Hometown restaurant for years most of the time get good service waitresses and waiters are nice and helpful usually get a good experience
Do NOT order from Gem City if you want your order to match the receipt, or respectful customer service when you inquire about the issue. We ordered the tamales with topping on the side. The person taking our order was nice and even said we could do this. It was even printed on our receipt. When the delivery came, we opened it up to find the exact opposite of what we ordered. When I called to ask about the issue, I was told by the person I spoke to that they owed the place, they don't do on the side, and was horribly rude. He was hateful and should not be answering phones. I guess the owners don't care if they keep customers during this trying time for all. I have an allergy that forces me to ask for toppings on the side so that I don't end up at the ER. The couldn't care less about the customers they serve. To this owner "Jeff", they are only dollar signs. We won't be ordering from here again. I didn't call to argue but he came at me defensive and incredibly rude. If you want AWESOME food and customer service, go to El Rancherito for it.
Great eats, couldn't wait to get the nachos and pizza. Always a great time. Excellent waitresses.
Just stick with the pizza. I would rate the pizza 5 stars. The Mexican is a lost cause.
