I'll start with the bartender was great. Unfortunately she is going back to Arizona. Yhe rueben rolls were freezer burt. If you move from the bar check in with the hostess because even if you sit directly in front of the hostess stand and make eye contact you will be ignored and then get a lecture about restaurant operations when you check in. And just for the haters, the place wasn't busy when we did this. Servers were standing around because they hadn't been seated yet. Being ignored by staff is the worst.
This place is a great spot to sit back and enjoy life. ? Very relaxed atmosphere with great food and great drinks! You can choose to sit inside or on the sidewalk outside. Inside is air conditioned. Outside tables all have umbrellas.Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Prices are typical for a bar and grill location. Location is mid block downtown.The only negative I have is that parking downtown can be a problem during peak times--especially on the weekends.
Everything was pretty good. Our server was nice. The music was a bit loud for lunch. We couldn't hear each other or really have a conversation. Maybe we just picked the wrong spot to meet when family are visiting from out of state.
I couldn't decide between the fish & chips or the reuben. I went with the fish & chips and wish I hadn't. The breading was good but the fish was a pretty thick piece and was really underdone and mushy. They offered to remake it or replace it. Husband had the burger and said it was outstanding. Great service, clean establishment. Will definitely be back for the reuben!
I do not believe there is a better hamburger in a 15 mile radius surrounding Uptown Tap. Burger was cooked perfectly. Pickles are top notch. Restaurant is always spotless with staff that is friendly and fun. I could not be more satisfied with my visit.
Live music, friendly atmosphere, a must see while visiting this fine city. Everything was fantastic, from the service to the drinks. So if you're looking to catch a glimpse of the night life here, I highly recommend Uptown. Have a seat after 8pm and ask for Ariel. If it's anything like my experience, you'll get prompt, almost personalized service, and have a wonderful time. 10/10
Large birthday party, our server Naomi handled everything perfectly and was so sweet! Everything came out perfect even though we had a ton of substitutions. We also had split checks and she nailed it!!! Will definitely be back and asking for Naomi!!!
I really enjoy this place. Atmosphere is great, however can get a little loud and hard to hear your company after about 8pm when bands start. Food is always good, reasonable pricing.
One of my favorite home-town bars. Great drink specials and a very homey, yet modern atmosphere.
I typically cannot finish an entire meal ever, but the portions here are so small that I finished my dinner and then wished I had ordered more food. Adult portions are equivalent to what you would see on a children’s menu. I’m surprised by the pictures that other guests have posted as that is not at all representative of what I received tonight. The taste was decent, but for the price it was very disappointing.
