The sandwiches are awesome, so is the Gelato and the salads. We love going to Sammy's for lunch, looking forward to trying their dinners too, they look amazing. In a time when prices are skyrocketing, I feel the prices are pretty darn great for the amount of food. Also, everyone who works at Sammy's has been super friendly and nice to talk to.
Baked mostaccioli with vodka sauce was excellent. Prices were very reasonable and portion was huge. Definitely recommend.Only suggestion is sturdier plastic ware
The vodka sauce is amazing as is the white sauce. The gnocchi and ravioli were perfect and I suspect that they were made on site. The pizza is also great. We all shared! We got dessert too. The tiramisu was light with awesome coffee overtones tamed by the moist cake part and the cannoli was also amazing. We will be back! Take plenty of friends that don't mind sharing.
I was surprised to read some negative reviews that did not reflect my experience at all, so I would say to try the restaurant first before making any assumptions. I ordered a pasta salad with garlic dressing and ravioli with vodka sauce. They were both delicious and the wait was not long. The sauce itself was so flavorful and I only wished there was more ravioli to balance it out. It is a nice place in a good location; there’s no reason not to try it out. I can’t wait to go back during the summer and get a tiramisu slice and gelato.
Have eaten their food twice and must say that the Big Sammies Italian is head and shoulders above any other Italian sub I have ever had. Such generous portions of cheeses-cold cuts and the sandwich is not stuffed with shredded lettuce etc. extremely tasty and competitively priced. Definitely will be ordering this again and againSecond time I ordered meatball sub and was disappointing to say the least. The meatballs themselves were if a pasty texture unlike any I have ever eaten before Instead of crumbling a little when bitten into the inside of the meatball remains firm along the lines of a hit dog. Really different and for me not enjoyable. Additionally whoever made the meatball that day sure was generous with the garlic. Wow way too much garlic for my taste. Would not buy this item againThat said the staff are nice and prices well worth for the portions and quality. Will be returning there this evening to try their chicken parm
So happy to have Big Sammy's so close to my work. New favorite lunch break spot! Love the eggplant parm sandwich! Can't wait to try everything else. Friendly staff and great food! Make sure to treat yourself to some gelato too, you won't regret it!
First time coming here. My husband, son, myself and one other person with us got a slice of pizza each. As soon as I took a bite of my slice I tasted flour, it was very chewy. The pizza wasn’t cooked all the way through. I wanted to try another thing off the menu but decided not to. Figured id be just as disappointed. Wish I could give it 0 stars! Don’t recommend.The worker handed me another pizza slice, only the cheese on top was burnt. The crust was the same, uncooked! She also handed me another pizza slice that came from the same batch as my first slice. She said it was free and not to worry about it… well I’m glad it’s free cause it went straight into the garbage.
The bread was hard and stale. Meats were of average quality and nothing spectacular. I ordered the Italian Sub and the Pasta Salad. Salad was overly oily and near flavorless. The people working there were friendly enough but for a brand new place you would think the ingredients being fresh would be a priority. I can’t really suggest that anyone go here. It’s a shame because the location is perfect.
Wow! The service alone was spectacular! Our order was incorrect and the manger delivered the correct sandwich plus a bonus! Food was over the top delicious. This is the type of place that you want to support. Great food and friendly staff!
Everyone in my house & I loved our subs. I got the Italian sub and it was amazing, so much flavor. We also got the caprese salad which was just as delicious with fresh mozzarella. Can’t wait to come back and try more! And the staff was friendly too, they were patient while we ordered since it was our first time :)
