We had been going to this location for months with no problem, then we went on a Saturday night at 8 p.m. and were told the lobby was closed even though the sign clearly said 9:30 p.m. We saw at least 2 other tables being served. Our trip prior a few weeks before we noticed a gratuity charge on our bill at 20%.. we were a party of 3, and we usually leave a fair tip. I just wonder how many times I tipped on top of a gratuity charge. Needless to say we will not be returning to this one, or the Joliet location which is owned by the same family.
Shout out to Aurelio's Plainfield. Went there for the Mother's Day Brunch and it was fantastic. This week we placed an order and there was an issue with it. The manager remedied it quickly and we were so taken back by the generosity. Great food, great service and clean environment. Thanks again Aurelio's. See you soon!
Theresa, Eileen, Mike and the rest of the staff did an EXCELLENT job Saturday night (4/2/22) with our 25th Wedding Anniversary party. Our guests commented that they kept up with our large group, as well as the other customers.
The people their were so nice and kind to us. Food was hot and the pizza was good. We order everything on it. It feed 4 people
Toppings were great. Crust was overly thin and as such it lacked the structure to withstand the moisture in the box. It was like pizza toppings on wet noodles.
Clean restaurant and good pizza.
First, I love Aurelio's Pizza - it's my personal favorite. I grew up on it at other locations in Chicagoland. And I will continue to be a regular customer. In addition, Joe, the owner at this location is a great guy. I highly recommend their pizza. Now my only complaint ever... and it seems to be a common theme in reading other recently posted reviews. The issue is EMPLOYEE ATTITUDE!!! In my case, an employee named Reese who came across as an "enforcer in power" rather than a customer-centric employee when I stopped by to pick up my order yesterday. I walked into the restaurant that had numerous patrons seated and eating inside. I asked for my take out order. Reese turned it into a stare down over the "pre-orders must be picked up at the drive-thru". When I asked why, she said it was because the register at the counter did not work. I asked about her just ringing it up at the register that was 10 feet away, she said she CAN'T. We argued and stared back and forth and she refused to budge. For crying out loud, I was already in the restaurant and ready to pay. What a disappointing experience. I guess Reese won, I had to go back to the drive thru and wait in line. Joe, please work with your staff on being more courteous and understanding. She left a very bad taste in my mouth. But the pizza was still delicious.
Excellent--Original Aurelio's Recipe. The Veggie Pizza is Delicious ?.
The person taking the order was nice. However, the food was NOT good! We ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich, two pizzas (a pepperoni and a sausage w/green pepper and black olives) and two 2-liter pops. The chicken parm was burnt with hardly any sauce and the pizzas were not good at all. Something is off with the cheese, the sauce is too sweet and the sausages were chewy. I see so many 5-star reviews, but my family did not agree ??♀️. It’s Chuck E. Cheese pizza at best with Giordanos prices.
Delivery people always nice and quick. Pizza excellent.
