You need to hit this spot. The smoke is on point. Brisket and ribs, no sauce needed their so good. The original sauce puts them over the top. Smoke is in the name and they deliver.
BBQ was off the chain. Highly recommend. Akso in the mall you can walk it off after you done. And even hit the arcade
Great food. Great Service. Definitely worth going out of your way to go here, even if you don't need to go to the mall.
DeLish !!!, I had the Pork Loaded Fries, My husband had the Rib-Tips (We shared each others food) Yum ! Our friends had the Catfish, they enjoyed their Choice Also. Bathroom was Clean and Dining was a Great area to eat....
I should have taken a picture! We ordered about $80 worth of food (separately) PLUS we TIPPED. rib tips were thin and tough. It says you get a wing but received something different. I will NEVER spend another dollar not even for a pop.
The food is amazing as always. Portions are not as large as the used to be, but still more than enough.
After the renovation, Smo-King Pit opened the doors again, and now guests can enjoy a new look and a new interior design of this restaurant: it is very nicely appointed, has several seating areas, that are very spacious indeed, and the tables are placed quite distantly. The restaurant specializes in BBQ ribs, but the menu is vast, and has many other dishes (pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, catfish, various sandwiches, combo meals, etc), and it also has kids menu. I ordered 1/2 lb. Rib Tips and Potato Salad. I liked the salad, that was very tasty, the ribs were OK, some of them were not as tender, as I expected. What I especially enjoyed in this restaurant was the service -- two cheerful ladies at the counter couldn't be more amiable and friendlier, they were very attentive, helpful, smiling -- just a pleasure to be serviced like this! Smo-King Pit is a highly casual place, with an informal ambiance, and it must be convenient for visitors, who shop at the Northwoods mall, to have a quick meal there. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the mall. Plan to be back, thank you!
Very good food and service. My only issue is that sauce automatically came slathered on the BBQ and the meat seemed able to stand up without the sauce. The sauce was delicious, probably just need to order on the side.
Been coming here for many years my food has been hot and good but took my family out to eat and shop at the mall and by the time we got are food it was cold and BBQ souce use to be so good but now it's ??it's not really the same as it was before they remodeled it they still wonderful but ??
The brisket was not the same as before they closed. Fatty and nasty . Way over smoked. The prices went up and the quality went way down.
