The food was good but service was a little slow. Their menu boards are not working so you have a paper menu to look at and it doesn't have the complete menu. Soda machine is inoperable, no napkins for you only what's placed in the bag and they were out or spoons for my red beans and rice. Appears they could use some better organization among the employees, they were friendly though. I hope they get it together as Popeyes is my favorite.
The order I received today was totally incorrect. Not only was it incorrect but the chicken was overcooked. I ordered a 3pc chicken combo (2 wings and a breast, red beans and rice, and a frozen strawberry lemonade). What I got was a breast and two thighs, mashed potatoes (the top on the container was put on upside down) and a regular lemonade. This order looked like it was thrown or tossed in the bag. When I called the restaurant to let them know that my order was incorrect, whoever answered, hung up on me. That was rude, inexcusable, and unacceptable. I’ve gone to this restaurant before and I’ve never received service like this. Usually when I’ve gone through the drive through, the employees are nice and courteous and if something isn’t available, they let me know in a very nice and polite way. I don’t know who was working on Sunday May 15,2022, but the service was way below my expectations. I don’t think I’ll ever come back to this location.
I have been to this Popeye's location on several occasions and I have yet to be impressed. Every time I come to this location they are out of something. They are out of fries or out of soda or out of something else that I would like to get.I will not be returning this location because on my most recent trip there I once again ran into staff that was not happy to assist their customers, they were out of Coca-Cola products, and then they asked for payment in an amount that was not equal to the amount that I was told by the person taking my order. Subsequently when I provided the payment in cash I was not given change for my order and had to ask yet again for the rest of my order after checking and noticing that I was missing items. The employee was less than enthusiastic to provide me with a drink when I had to remind him.I did not pursue my missing $0.48 or try to bring this to the attention of a manager. Most people are not going to take the time to voice their opinion to the management of a fast food restaurant. They will simply never return when things like this happen.
Surprisingly rude management. Wasn't a busy day but they couldn't do the online drive through order via the drive through??I've done online orders before for the drive through. But they yelled about it and we're really rude before during and after. To top it off, when you're already in the drive through, you're stuck till all the cars ahead of you have gotten their food before you can even pull around. Not planning to return to this location unless there are no other options.A shame too because the only reasons they get 2 stars is that the food is yummy and their customer service people were fast to send a refund.Just the manager on duty that day was an awful employee.
Honestly I’ve given up on Popeye’s in Peoria. Like the other one on Knoxville this is so mismanaged. I constantly have items missing from my delivery orders. Went into the restaurant two weeks ago was told items on the app they were supposed to have were not there. Earlier in the year was told they ran out of condiments. I mean…salt. At the visit two weeks ago the manager started arguing with a customer because… she felt his eyes on her. It ended with the customer making vailed threats towards the manager. Both were wrong and “flexing”. I just left as I lost my appetite. Never have I seen such consistent poor attitude from a restaurant staff. I used to work in restaurants. I understand the pandemic takes its toll. But this is beyond the pale. There were a couple of Popeyes in Chicago I had excellent experiences with. Others so so. But Peoria is the worst.
The menu video screen was unavailable. The manager was rather rude when we wanted to look at the menu poster that was on the counter. She handed us a menu printout that was labeled as having incorrect prices on it. Food was decent, but was lower quality than the last time we visited a couple years ago. I probably will not go back.
This place would get the largest dump in Peoria history award. I went thru the drive thru and ordered a simple 3 piece chicken dinner. Well I gave the girl $10 and never got my change. I asked the guy where was my change when he gave me the food. Well I was informed that it's exact change or credit card only. I guess they rip off everyone in hopes of getting money to clean up the store. Then once I started eating my mouth lit up. They gave me SPICY chicken. So I had to go inside to get my correct order. That's when I noticed the dump conditions. I was informed that's all they had.so I had to wait for mild chicken. I wonder if the state is aware of the things that go on here and it's conditions. Well they will Monday morning that's for sure. I suggest avoiding this dump.
Worst place in history of Popeyes,! Place falling apart, not clean, very disrespectful lady behind counter. And refused to give me a receipt.... franchise needs to be pulled from this owner before a lawsuit happens. Many up set customers walked out while I waited 40 min for two meals.
This location is probably the worst Popeyes I’ve ever been to in my life, and I mean that with no hyperbole. I have gone here on probably 10 different occasions , and it is CONSISTENTLY bad. The employees are always disinterested and blasé. I pretty much expect Popeyes employees to have a little attitude; the joke being that, it makes the food taste better. That is NOT APPLICABLE in this situation. The chicken is more often than not mad dry and over cooked no matter the cut. The orders are RARELY right the first time around. Once, I guess they ran out of tops, and gave me my sides with aluminum foil on it like a take home plate at a family reunion. I wouldn’t have had a problem with it had they told me, however, I didn’t find out until I checked my bag. The one star is for the consistency. It’s consistently bad, but at least I know if I go there again and the order is wrong, it’s my fault for going back. Can’t get mad at fire for being hot.
Going to give 3 stars out of a bad experience. It was busy and many orders were messed up. Small crew not really able to handle volume. Schedulers fault.Manager didn't give me any bullsh*t excuse. No fake smile. She held it together for what I would consider less understanding customers where lesser managers would have every opportunity to lose their cool. She didn't. The food was slightly inaccurate which was compensated, I feel, with a higher volume. We came to Popeyes because KFC was on the cusp of being inoperable. Their mic and speaker had blown over and the crew inside were fairly rude.On a long run this should have been 40 minutes. It ended up being 1h10m. I didn't get her name I just wanted to get my stuff and go. And I did.Unless the situation got worse she should not feel bad. I hope she reads reviews. I wanted to tell her she did exactly what I would want her to do if I were a manager above her or even an employee under her. Very level headed. Great job.The food was fine I mean it's fired chicken, too busy to not be fresh. but it seemed the cook was less than urgent making the situation worse as a whole. I do believe the error was the fairly new seeming drive thru kid. Even though he was making errors he still even toned. Nobody seemed upset. However I could see her hands shaking. In that situation, ain't nothing too it, but to do it... might as well give 4 stars.
