Great spot to stop in for to go and even better to sit down and enjoy your meal while it’s fresh and hot! Location is on a busy road so it’s easy to drive right past it, but don’t! Head in there for quality! We try to order something new off of their menu every time. It will take some time to get thru their many options and every time it tastes great! Great customer service polite and clean atmosphere too!
Had been wanting to try this place for a while and maybe I had just built it up in my mind too much, but my first time trying was a bit of a let down.Don't get me wrong, the food was good overall...fries had a nice crispy texture, the sides (I tried humus and tabbouleh) had a home-made taste. However there seemed to be a consistent lack of flavor.I'll admit, perhaps all of my other experiences with Mediterranean cuisine involved large doses of lemon, garlic, and the like. But I kind of expected more.
You can't go wrong with any choice from Khoury's Cuisine! Great employees and owners are always there to help.
The garlic chicken wrap is my favorite food in Peoria! Also, the baklava is TO DIE FOR, and if I had ordered just one I’m certain I would have died because two portions still wasn’t enough! I absolutely love supporting this local, family owned business. Today the lovely and talented Chris took my order and was just as charming and friendly as ever. If you don’t know, the breathtaking scenic footage displayed at the restaurant was captured by him, which is just another amazing personal touch added to the restaurant. I’ll definitely be back, and if you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend you do!
The food is delicious!! Fries are great, the gyro meat has a wonderful flavor, the fried mushrooms are perfect, and the garlic chicken was phenomenal! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!
Great atmosphere. Kibbeh sandwich was very bright flavored, even after I removed pickles and tomatoes—I’m used to less strong taste but food was high quality. Baklava was inexpensive but had a heavy butter flavor. The water was good. Looking forward to trying more items.
Came to this place thinking I would be getting the best in Gyro cuisine annnd got an unpleasant surprise!! Meat was not authentic, tzatziki was a combo of Ranch dressing and sour cream, annnd flat tasting across the board!! I wish they wouldn't advertise authenticity when they probably buy their stock from Gordon's!! The other half wanted me to add its not spit-roasted like they advertise annnd reflects false advertising!! Try the Chouris I Washington which reflects authenticity!!P.s. the appliances in the kitchen were domestic gradeand not industrial quality!!
Very tasty mediterranean food, friendly staff and nice and clean inside
I've been coming to Khoury's for 15 years and the food has always been excellent across the board. The Gyro Special and fries are always excellent, but you also can't go wrong with the falafel, burgers, or tenderloins. With a large menu and wonderful service, every visit is a treat.
Authentic Middle Eastern food at a great price. I ordered some Lebanese favorites and was not disappointed. The falafel burger was large and flavorful. The spinach pie was a tasty treat. I would order both again. If you're in the mood for standard American fare, Khoury's serves cheeseburgers, tenderloins, philly cheesesteaks, chicken sandwiches, catfish, shrimp, french fries and the like. You're sure to find something you'll like. Service is fast and friendly.
