Pizza sauce was overly tangy. Not just on one pizza but all of them like they have changed their recipe. In order to play the games we had to get change from the gambling area which would only break down bills to the next lowest dollar amount. I had 2 $20s so in order to get ones I had to insert the 20 to get 2 10's, the 10s to get 5s and the 5s to get ones. There was no option to get quarters because they couldn't do it at the register And the change machine was Out of Order, which the employee said it hadn't been filled in at least a year. This used to be a great place to for family to go and let the kids play games but sadly it has gone down hill over the years.
This being the only standalone Godfathers pizza in the area, I've frequented this location several times over the years. Never have a had a bad experience with the food itself. It always seemed fairly clean and we'll run but the last couple visits, cleanliness and service has definitely been way down. The workers were friendly but we're clearly not working. The carryout order o was picking up got done about 20 minutes late. The restaurant did seem to have lots of dirty tables as well as the floor. These experiences could have just been isolated times but certainly a downward trend. Try it for carryout, hopefully you'd get a good experience.
I was in the Pekin Godfathers for the lunch buffet, my mother and I come in nearly every week. We always ask for a veggie pizza, one of the main reasons we come there. Today, it was in fact busy, we stilled asked for a veggie pizza and were told 8 minutes. It never came up but 6 meat filled pizzas did. I asked and was told the "District Manager said NO" we were told to eat the 1 cheese pizza. I found that very insulting!! We can drive to Old Chicago in Peoria just as easy as we drive to Pekin, I'm going to think long and hard if they have that little respect for a customer request.
Was terrible...no food out on buffet..if it was it was old and cold.. chicken was the only good thing about my trip...service wasn't very friendly...won't share this place with others
Even being short staffed ,as far as front area. Service was prompt. Food was excellent. Id go back. Im sure there could be more cleaning done. Pretty big area..
Best staff around!!! Great pizza!!!
Is this normal? Don’t bother unless you want your pizza left out in the cold. We had no idea it was even there. She knocked once ? Edit to add. PLEASE DO CARRY OUT IF POSSIBLE, delivery is third party and the staff there is amazing ❤️
We came to Godfather's for the lunch buffet, we come on a regular basis. The 2 things we enjoy most are the calzone and the veggie pizza we request. Wed 2/16 we requested a veggie and were told 8 minutes, instead they brought out 6 meat laden pizzas and told me you can eat that cheese one. I was stunned and angry, I asked for a manager and was told "It was the district manager that said NO" There was no reason to refuse a vegetarian a pizza, yes it was busy but had they paid attention to the crowd the groups of men were much more interested in the sparse chicken selection. The groups of men were long gone and the pizza went to waste, the veggie we requested would not have. May be time to look for a new lunch spot that is not disrespectful and condescending to regular customer. Not Happy!
Never disappointed! The staff is very friendly and the buffet always has a lot of options. If it doesn't have what you want, you can ask the staff they will make it.
Godfathers at one time was the only place to dine for pizza in the area but that was decades ago. Surprised this one has survived over the years. Think it's been consistently open at the same location over the years. I dined here today to sample the buffet. Dinning here isn't for the upper crust and I'm sure not upper crust or desire to be. Right off the bat I was most impressed by the young lady behind the counter that waited on me. She was very informative, super personality, a real go getter. In fact all the employees were very dedicated. Plenty of different varieties of pizza and all of the other goodies that go with a buffet. They had chicken livers and for those that like them gizzards. Food was constantly brought out so nothing ran out. My only complaint was that the unsweetened ice tea tasted somewhat funky. I traded for Mello Yellow and it was fine. Place became busy and I have to assume that the buffet is popular, but there were other's that just ordered pizza. I'm glad I stopped in. Give them a crusty try!
