I was not impressed, even for a fast food chicken place. The chicken fingers were nothing special and the sides were sub par. I didn't care for the cole slaw or the beans/rice. KFC's sides are much better.
Messy and long wait. Don’t recommend. Workers were lazy and fighting with each other. We would ask them questions and they would respond with a lazy nod or shake of the head.
The team at Popeye's in Palatine is top notch. The food is always in perfect condition and SO FAST! They always have all the menu items and they take pride in their work. I drive to this Popeye's when other Popeye's are closer just because of how well this store is run. Thankful for this team!
Gave them 5 chances to redeem themselves, every times was worst than the last. No greeting when walk in, not even once. In fact it would be 5 or more minutes before even acknowledged. No one in restaurant, drive thru busy. Usually visible mopping or some other cleaning while waiting for acknowledgement. Maybe should help the customers over mopping. The second time after maybe 15 minutes came out to say "they ran out of chicken" ? What? I can see the heaping mountain of salmonella on the rack. Why take 15 minutes to let me know that tho anyway? 3rd time, was waiting in a line once again no acknowledgement. This time I wasn't alone, other customers were also waiting. Maybe 3 of us in line, a 4th guy walks right in walks right up to front, cut everyone and gets his food ? The rest of line was shocked and other customers stated if their food wasn't paid already they would of walked out. Finally, last time went in, once again, a cleaning circus was going on and was told "OUT OF CHICKEN"? It's popeyes! With visible chicken in sight? What on earth is going on here ? Once again waited 15 mins to be informed. Maybe corporate should come in and straighten this trash hole out. Would be nice to have some service and food, have some proper training and customer service training done on the staff. All 5 times did NOT even receive any food. Waste of time, don't even bother. 0 Stars.
Order 5 pcs deal asked 4 fresh chicken because I like hot chicken they said no problem chicken not hot at all.. this was on a Friday 5/20/22.. trash & the rice was hard
food is good, and wait time was super long before but it seems its getting better so, keep it up.
Store manager/supervisor won't accept local Popeyes coupon at her store. Around 1:45pm this afternoon, I walked in for order. Store cashier and food preparer helped entered coupon code that I present on my coupon. When I was about to pay, store supervisor or manager came out to cancel it. Initially she said they don't have key or keypad to enter the coupon code (which is not true, I saw the discounted price after cashier entered the code, and I was about to pay). Next she said the coupon I present is not their coupon (clearly it's a Popeyes coupon, printed from local ad and not expired when I check again). Finally, she said your coupon expires, I looked up the expiration date on my coupon (3/27/22) but today is only 3/25/22. That supervisor/manager just walked away and ignored what I said. Not recommended.
Their chicken sandwich is delish! It's my all time favorite fast food item. Also, the macaroni and cheese! Yummy ?
It was Sunday, 5:30PM, the lobby was closed. The car line in front of me was at least 15. About 20 minutes later I was handing them my money. And "them" was 3 women. I don't usually like popeyes but it was great! And they were friendly faces?
Spicy ? next time I will get the regular chicken sandwich . But all and all it was great ? staff is definitely efficient long line outside when in drive thru at least 12 cars but I was out of there in less then 15 min.
