We went there with my sister and her husband. We all really liked this place. The decor is excellent and this restaurant is very, very clean.Their menu is very extensive and ths food tastes great. The servers were very polite and very knowledgeable about how all of the food is made, answering all of our questions. We would highly recommend this place.
Simply amazing. I freaking loved everything I ate. The service was amazing as well! A real mom and pop diner!!
The waitress I had was great. The inside is clean and the tables we're not sticky. They cater to an older crowd and the food seems to be older fashion. I had a good experience though.
Good ol family run restaurant with a large selection of food from breakfast to dinner.I recently got the Chicken feta sandwich which was out of this world tasty and the pita was crispy- the perfect touch. I was here 2 days ago and already want to come back for that sandwich again!
Greek owned diner with many choices including breakfast. We weren't warmly greeted by the apparent owner. Just wordlessly seated. Stale rolls wrapped in cellophane in basket brought to table.Unremarkable food.Best thing was the Matzo ball soup. Not enough to make us return.First and last time.
Well worth the price. Their chicken enchilada soup was perfect and the brisket grilled cheese was the best I’ve tasted yet. Highly recommend.
Have visited this restaurant a couple times. Server was not attentive and didn’t know the menu at all. Food was ok, expensive $13 for 6 chicken nuggets and fries.
Searched for a breakfast place on Christmas and had a choice between Palatine Inn and another restaurant. Long story short, I chose wrong! After waiting for a couple of minutes, (restaurant was at about 60% capacity at 11:00 A.M.) we were rudely told by the manager/hostess to wait and she walked away. That was our welcome! No greeting at all like "Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays"or even "Hello." I passed it off as being busy and it's the Holidays, so...Our server was ok and we had coffee, orange juice, steak skillet, and pork chops with eggs. The food was below-average compared to where we typically go, and nothing special. When I went to the register to pay, the manager took my payment without a word. I said "have a great day" and I might as well have been trying to converse with a wall. It was clear she was going out of her way to make us feel unwelcome and she succeeded! Maybe you have to be a member of their club to feel welcome? Our check total was about $45 so the price point for a "meh" meal served with horrible attitude from the management= poor value and deserves zero or "0" stars.I'd rather support businesses that welcome and appreciate my business and the manager / hostess of this establishment failed miserably. We won't let this experience at Palatine Inn discourage us from exploriing and trying new restaurants, but I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND Palatine Inn to my friends and family as I would hate to see them treated the same way or worse by this person. We'll stick to our favorites; Brunch Cafe, Firstwatch, Honey Jam Cafe, and Wildberry where the food is consistently delicious and we feel welcome. We work hard to enjoy some luxuries in life and extremely disappointed in the experience at Palatine Inn and would not recommend to anyone.
Great food. Martha the waitress is awesome.
The best place to eat in Palatine. So much great food to choose from. The ownership and staff are fantastic.
