The service was not good.The stew was not fresh it tasted like it had been from a day before.The drinks were not cold.And some of the drink options were not available.The waitresses charged 18% and we waited around one and there wasn’t a lot of people.And they only gave us as courtesy 4 tostadas for a table of 8 people.I will never come back to this place.
Kathy was excellent. Extremely friendly, patient and she knew her stuff well. The food and drinks were excellent and the place itself is extremely nice. There was an error with the bill at the end but she quickly took care of the overcharge.
VERA Cruz shrimp is fire. Free fish siveche was a good touch! It's different than just chips and salsa. I had good drinks as well, Micheladas. Awesome service, good food. Bit costly, but everything is expensive right now as far as huge plates of shrimp and actually awesome food. My go to no doubt.
We found a new favorite with Islas Veracruz. I saw that some said it was a bit pricey, but when you see the quality of the ingredients, care that goes into the presentation, and amount of seafood in each order, I feel it is worth it.My husband and I stopped in for lunch and were greeted by a friendly young woman who only spoke a bit of English, but made it easy to communicate. And, personally, the language barrier is a keeper in my book, as it tells me they are catering to a largely Spanish-speaking crowd that will have natural expectations about the food - keeping it more authentic for the rest of us.We ordered the mixed seafood ceviche tostadas, the mixed seafood soup, and shrimp tacos. Everything was so well presented, so fresh, and so packed with seafood. I would recommend all of them, especially that warm frothy soup broth for these cold Chicago days.Their salsa is also fantastic, clearly homemade and is partnered with one of the most flavorful Verdes I have had in a long time.We will definitely be back for more food and some margaritas next time!!
Hands down the best seafood around the Palatine area. The Ceviche is Fire ? ?The shrimp empanadas are MUST TRY and the Piña rellena is BUSSIN

I was happy we tried this place. A bit pricey on some things, but ingredients were very fresh. Will go back again.
They are an absolutely delicious 10+.We had their steak tacos and shrimp burrito. Wow were they good. Both of their homemade, fresh salsas were delicious. Would like to buy some to take home. DELICIOUS!
