Was my favorite Chinese restaurant. They changed owners and the food is less than mediocre. Egg rolls taste like they bought them frozen from a food service
First time back since new ownership. Not the same. Crab Rangoon was decent. The sweet n sour soup lacked the flavor the original one gaf plus not enough tofu. The entree was bland. The menu shows steak and lobster entrees but when ordered not available because of steak and lobster increased prices. Then mark these items off the menuWas disappointed
I agree the Mongolian beef was not as good as we've had before. It tasted like flour on the meat like a previous review said as filler and poor meat quality. The appetizer barbecue pork had a lot of fat pieces. The egg rolls, pot stickers, shrimp toast and crab Rangoon , orange chicken and broccoli with chicken and fried rice were very good like always! Please change back to the original Mongolian beef!!
We would travel from Lake Zurich to go here after our favorite Chinese restaurant closed. This is the best Chinese food that we have found for miles around. We have eaten here several times, pre pandemic, but haven’t been back since the pandemic restrictions have relaxed. I’m not sure if they are the same still, but they were definitely the best around. We love the egg rolls, kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice… it’s all so good. Portions are large too.
Best Chinese in the area. I hope they never close! My favorites: Mongolian Beef, Shrimp Lobster Style, Pan Fried Noodles, Chicken Kow, Egg Rolls, BBQ Pork, ALL soups are great
I’ve been here before and love the food, but I wanted to speak specifically to my experience hosting my event here. I had my sister’s bridal shower here last weekend and it was perfect.
Only to go no inside eatNear big old Chinese restaurants.Looking ok but old one.Food was OKService was OKHopefully est inside soon
Long time fan. What is that spice in the incredible egg rolls. Really like the Hoyle and sour soup and cashew chicken. We live in Wisconsin and always bring back eggrolls when we’re in Palatine. They warm up perfectly in an air fryer. So good!
To be fair, I would normally give Heng Wing a 5 star rating, however tonight's order was very disappointing. I hadn't felt well all day, so my husband offered to get some WonTon soup for me for dinner (My favorite). I called at 6:30 P.M. on a Friday night, so I knew they would be busy. I only ordered a large WonTon soup and two orders of egg rolls. The young man taking the phone order said it would be 55 minutes. Although I thought that was a very long time for what we ordered, I also understood that they were probably filling orders in the order they were placed. My husband actually got to Heng Wing at 7:20 (so, about 5 minutes early), and our order was ready and given to him immediately. He had about a 5minute drive home, but when unpacking our small order, we could already tell that the egg rolls and soup were lukewarm at best. The egg rolls were soggy and extremely disappointing. I ordinarily tell people their egg rolls are the best I've ever had, but these were a real let down. As I said before, the soup was barely warm. I know they are busy on Friday nights, but I'm sure our order was bagged and sitting on the counter long before the pick-up time we were given. We will definitely order from Heng Wing again in the future, but I felt like management would want to know they have disappointed long-time and frequent customers.
This is one of my favorite restaurants!! When I come and visit my grandmother I always come here and order! The Chicken Fried Rice and Eggrolls are my favorites! The staff is extremely nice! I also like the complementary Oolong Tea!!
