Greece would be ashamed for this Restaurant and here are reasons why1. The Customer service is secretly ignoring all customers who aren’t White this is America you should treat all HUMANS with respect and judge them by there actions Period.2. The food is not fresh but they say it is and it’s not because three people in my Neighborhood went here both for lunch and dinner and found odors in the meat and side orders and the restaurant ignored them after they Paid for the Meal.3. The Price is Too High and Yes Covid had a role in that factor but still you need sell more orders to more people for more business in the end of the day and monthly quarters.4. In other States they don’t have this issue because of trust, honest, and hard working people giving one another a chance and not just greed and fast cash like this place is.5. The attitude is off the charts I was waiting in line for my order than This Asian man comes asking to place an order 30 minutes before they close and they denied him service, he drove with some friends and the Restaurant told them to go somewhere else in 2022? This is not how AMERICA WORKS.7. Chiggy’s Gyros has there own private policy agenda and that is ok for business and financial marketing but Not aggression to the customer especially if there not White in 2022? It’s not 1940 people wake up.8. No modern Delivery system yes they have Uber Eats, Grub Hub, and Doordash but still the food ends cold wet Gyros which is not appetizing at all if you paid more than $17.9. No Drive Thru in 2022?10. No Hospitality in the dining experience you just watch the staff mock and stare at you all day.11. Just go to Wendy’s People more Meat, Better Prices, More variety in the menu selection and great Customer Service with a smile not ego with attitude and frustration everyday with judgment and no Flavor.
We just moved to the suburbs from the city and this is our spot now! Everything we’ve had has been great every time. Good food and awesome customer service! ( I think I’ve been helped by the owner’s daughter each time I’ve been in and she’s so sweet and wonderful!) The owner has also handed us our food every time and he is so kind. Food and genuinely wonderful people keep us coming back- thanks again :)
Great fast food restaurant. Family friendly with delicious food! Portion size matches pricing very well. Love the chicken gyros!! And don't forget to get the baklava!!
Ordered from Chiggy's for the first time this evening. I will definitely be a returning customer! My order was ready when promised and the food was fantastic. The folks I dealt with when I arrived to pick up my order were very friendly and genuinely good people.
Strip mall lunch and dinner outfit with very extensive menu, don't let the name fool you. Hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, dogs, ribs, chicken, salads and more. Prepared fresh to order, friendly people, most items a very good value compared to neighboring establishments.
Had gyros and fries. Meat was nasty and undercooked that flacid greesey not cooked cut to soon and the fries were overcooked seemed like they were re-fied. The price was high as well considering the small portion of undercooked meat, a hotdog alone cost 5 bucks, it is more expensive then Portillos and this is no Portillos. Place is kinda dumpy but can always be overlooked if food is good at a good price. Been to other Chiggys/Brandys in the past and they were aways good not so much at this location. Bottom line is nasty undercooked or overcooked, overpriced food served in a dirty restaurant last redone and cleaned circa 1993.
I don't think there is any better place in Palatine food, than Chiggy's. Everything from the Gyro to the beef is fantastic.Fantastic owners and staff, fantastic restaurant, fantastic food!
I’m all for supporting small businesses but not this one… placed an online order for 20-30 mins pickup. Arrived 25-30 mins after the order was placed and was told they had the order and it would be another 10 minutes. Fine, no problem. 45mins later, over an hour after the original order was placed, I was asked the name for the order and was told they never had it. Meanwhile while others and I were waiting in person, doordash drivers were getting their order immediately! What a waste of time! How could they claim to have my order and then after having me wait so long not have it all? I understand they’re much more busy than usual but this is entirely unacceptable. I didn’t see any customer that didn’t end up waiting 10+ minutes for their order. They want more business but just can’t handle it.
Went last night for their famous chicken. They were out. What! Ugh. Put in my substitute order, dog and fries + gyros and fries, cheeseburger and fries. 40 MINUTES later I'm STILL standing there with 12+ frustrated customers and I've had enough. Asked for my $ back, owner yells at his crew throw it in the garbage fellas (LOL). I'll check my CC to confirm I got my refund.One lady waited an hour and got her food comped. Owner explained they gave her order to someone else... Oh boy.Here's the kicker, they were PUMPING out delivery orders (UberEats, Grubhub?) orders like crazy. You can tell because they have this big print out with order details that is handled with the bagged food.Lesson to be learned, don't fall for this support local stuff if it's supporting a poorly run business that cares more about online orders than dine-in or carry-out customers. And shame on me for driving to my old haunt in Palatine from RM since I drove past half dozen other fast-food joints. Last time going to Chiggy's.Postscript- Went to another hot dog place by the Northrop Grumman plant, BBQ Patio I believe its called, and they had the exact same order as Chiggy's done in 10 mins and $10 CHEAPER to boot. Granted they were empty but hey the food was damn good.
This place had a solid gyro and some quality nostalgic decor. It's probably more like 3.5 stars but that isn't an option. Prices were average. Staff was nice. A good option if you're craving a reasonably priced, quick gyro option
