First time here, really enjoyed eating outdoors, service was great, food was exceptional (flounder & lobster w/ pasta). We look forward to returning!
Food was delicious! They had great music in their outside patio dining. Very satisfied! I will be back when I am back in the area!
I was late in picking out a dinner spot for my anniversary but I was able to get one here. I looked at the menu and booked. I was very excited to try this place, but I doubt I will be back. From the moment our server finally greeted us, I felt rushed to answer. I had some questions but he clearly did not have the time to chat. I just ordered wine and continued looking at the menu. 20 minutes later our drinks arrive and it is not our server dropping off. 35 minutes since we were seated and we order. They bring my salad with the appetizer and the food runner tells me thatâs normal. The server did apologize and offer to take back the salad but it wasnât worth it. By the way the Caesar salad was not worth it, the bottom was watery. The baked clams were delicious and I would get those again. The entrees were great- I had the flounder and he had the pork chop. We made jokes that the food being good was the only upside. I will say that my dish was supposed to be orzo but was more like skinny rice. Desert was good too but also took forever. There was also a cc fee at the bottom- Iâm not sure why it was there and the server didnât give me a chance to ask. All in all I expect better service for a $200 meal. Also Iâm not sure if they do specials, we were not told. The server was doing his best given the many tables he had and I never saw a manager come out to the dining room.
We had 6 people dining at AGIO for the first time Saturday nightâ¦.the venue was attractive but once we sat we noticed the restaurant temperature was warm, uncomfortable. The waitress was competent but over worked. (There were no martini glasses at the bar so cocktails were served in rocks glasses). The biggest disappointment was the food - veal saltimbocca was salty; fish was bland; chicken parmigiana was sour. Clearly, the restaurant has a following as it was crowded but our experience was mediocre at best.
The salad was excellent, the main courses (Veal Parm and Mahi Mahi), were both very meh..... The pasta side with the veal was very, very plain and tasteless and the veal was just OK. The Mahi was not the best piece of fish, thus you can only do so much with a mediocre filet. It was drenched in sauce which actually helped the fish flavor....I wouldn't get either again. For the price the food is fair. I really wanted great italian and it came up VERY short sadly.
The sauce on my pasta was burned, tasted like they used the very last spoonfuls from the bottom of the pot. Very disappointing as this is/was a favorite spot. Three of the dishes had this sauce and they were all almost inedible. However the carrot cake was outstanding! Waiter was pleasant but invisible. I had to ask for our bill 3 times.
Great food, great service & great drinksâ¦great dinner!
Excellent food with excellent waitstaff. Nice bar area and outdoor patio
Great service and great food!!
Large party of 11. Gene was great and the food was very good. Limited salad dressing options. Lemonade more Italian style verses classic. Not a lot of beer options on tap. No changing table for baby in either bathroom even though the Handicap stall was big enough for one.
