A little getaway we took to celebrate in Orland Park. Since we've been on a brewery kick lately, we stopped by this place. The beers that they have on tap, brewed in house.. Awesomeness, We had no wait on a Sunday evening and decided to sit at the bar. The bartender (if you go ask for Brad the bartender by name ?) Was friendly, knowledgeable about his product and genuinely enjoyed what he does.. that makes the experience all the better. For Dinner we ordered the steak and fries, and the chicken carbanara. (I probably misspelled that) My thanks to the chef as well.. for the 8 pounds I believe I gained because not a bite of anything was left.. it was just THAT good. The steak was juicy..seasoned very well, and was like using a steak knife to cut through a warm stick of butter. The chicken was tender and getting a fork full of the creamy pasta with it was delightful, so much so.. better keep that napkin next to you for appearance sake ?. Overall a great time. Thanks again especially to Brad. We'll definitely be back.
Great place for anyone!!!
ROCK BOTTOM Restaurant & Brewery of Orland Park, IL has been a good & enjoyable experience each visit. They have a very good selection of liquor, fine wines & beers. You can sit at the bar for lunch & or dinner should you care. The seating is plentiful & food very good. My favorite is the “veggie burger” with its spicy sauce. This place is clean, a great gathering space for lunch or date night. The staff works hard & delivers great service. ROCK BOTTOM has earned its place among other fine restaurants in the Orland Park area. It has had a long-standing presence in our community which surely says a lot. Restaurants come & go around here but RB has proven its goodness not short lived.
This used to be one of our go to places, but the past 4 or 5 times we have gone the food was sub-par at best. We will not be going back!! What a shame it is to see this place go down hill.
Used to be a great place to come for food and beers but lately both have not been that great. The last three times we have been here the food has been tasteless with a lot of items taken off the menu. The beers have been the same for a while. Almost seems like they are going to close. I will say that the service was good! Two stars for poor food variety and quality
Took my family there last night to celebrate my birthday. It’s the only restaurant in my adult life I left before we even got water, and that was a long wait. We were seated in the first booth behind the hostess and 30 minutes went by without a waitress or busboy, hostess.. anyone speaking to us. I’ve worked over 10 years in the restaurant business. This was pathetic. Unacceptable. Don’t care if their understaffed… when you watch slow moving waitresses cater to just 2 tables each…it’s not like the place was jumping.. it was dead in there, half capacity and I see why. Terrible service. I took the family and went to TGIF and had a horribly overcooked burger and tipped the waitress really well since she actually responded to people. My apologies to the hostess at rock bottom for my foul language. I don’t usually treat people like that so sorry young lady. Please let management know they are failing at their job.
Me and my husband loved coming here, but it seems the menu has gotten much smaller and they don’t offer the menu items we loved. I’m hoping that’s changed since we last dined in. Overall we always had a pretty good experience.
We used to love coming here. We would dine here at least twice a month. Loved the happy hour drinks prices, but would mainly come for the chicken fried chicken. This dinner since has been taken off the menu and we have not been back. I really wish you would bring back the chicken fried chicken. It was delicious. Got all our friends raving about it as well and it just disappeared. Otherwise this fav meal being discontinued, the food here has always been very good as well as the service. Never had a bad experience. Hopefully one day we can return and enjoy our favorite meal.
Went on a date night with another couple. Three of us ordered the chicken parm. Chicken was so over cooked it wasn't edible. The server came back and said they were remaking all 3. Only one was edible after that. They removed one meal off our bill. The manager never even came over to apologize! Husband's burger was supposed to have an egg, nope, no egg. Pasta was cold on 4 of the 6 chicken Parm attempts. Haven't been to this location since covid, but were pretty regular before covid. Used to be one of my daughter's favorite places, she went a month ago, also said it was a huge disappointment. Our server was Karen, she was the only good thing. Not your fault Karen! I think the positive ratings are all from earlier, haven't seen any recents.
Our dinner the other night was good, but the service was extremely SLOW! There was just one waitress for the dining room and the tables in the bar area. Why? Were the other waitresses out sick? Could they possibly have COVID? This restaurant is located in Cook County, Illinois, which currently has a mandate to check vaccination cards. NO ONE checked our vaccination cards. Shame on you, Rock Bottom! Shame on you!
