My husband and I went to Peteys today. Lived in the area for 40 yrs and had never been before. The dining room was beautiful. The food was delicious... pepper steak and prime rib. The salad was a little lacking (iceberg only), one cherry tomato and 2 bits of cucumber. The bread was warm and delicious. Service was good. Wish we hadn't been seated right in front of the kitchen door. The room had only 2 other seated tables at the time, so there were other seating options that should have been offered to us. Overall, it was a pleasant enough visit.
Always enjoyed this place, how ever, if your butt hurt because some business's don't comply with this bs mandate, there are other restaurants that will comply and that I will Not eat at or support.
Great old style supper club type experience. Reasonable menu. Live entertainment during the week was a big plus.
If I could give zero stars I would. Went to the Orland Park location Saturday 1/29/22. Seemed very disorganized from the start. The host was also the bartender and was bussing tables too. Once we were seated, a kind female server asked for our drink order but was interrupted and told that another server would be waiting on us. When he came to take our drink order we also ordered saganaki. A few minutes later he delivered the (burnt!) saganaki but no drinks. He finally brought the drinks then disappeared. My wife’s martini was not “dirty” as requested but he was nowhere in sight so I took it to the bar to get it “fixed”. I waited a few minutes until the apologetic host stepped behind the bar to fix the drink. Back to the table and waited several more minutes without seeing our server. When the host was passing I asked if we could have another server as ours was MIA. He left and then suddenly our male server showed up to take our dinner order. Our food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and my ribs were very good. My wife’s red snapper, however, was overcooked to the point she couldn’t eat it. We couldn’t ask for it to be replaced because the server never came back until I waved him down for the check. I did not want to give him my credit card because I had no idea how long before I would see him again. The host saw the bill on our table and took it and kindly made an adjustment. We paid the bill, leaving a generous tip, and will never go there again. Oh, and it was pretty sad that they had an all-caps notice posted on their front door announcing they do not comply with state guidance for wearing masks and social distancing. We should have taken that sign as a “sign” when we first arrived.
Wednesday we called and made a reservation for 7pm on Saturday night to celebrate Valentine's Day. We live just under an hour away so imagine our surprise as we approach the building that it is completely dark. We are very understanding of COVID issues but you can't mention a possibility of a problem arising or call us once you know you have to close for the day? This experience is beyond ridiculous.
I have driven by this place for 40+ years and never ate there. Finally made a reservation to eat there. Pulled up and lights out on a Saturday at 7PM. No call to advise they decided to close for the night. Hey, we’re only an hour away.Based on the reviews I’m seeing, maybe we didn’t miss anything.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The food was less to be desired. Apparently the kitchen staff are not required to know how to cook a steak or even know which cut is which. The manager, Nick was the most rude person I have EVER encountered in my life. How this man-child is a manager at a once successful restaurant is mind blowing, and perhaps the reason why this place is no longer what it once was. I will never be back, nor will I recommend to others. In fact, I will warn them not to waste their time and money.
Do not waste your time or money! Nick the manager was the most rude, and disrespectful restaurant manager I have ever come across. Food was not received as ordered, was told to take it or leave it and before I could reply he said he wasn't going to argue and my plate was taken away. When I left, I made sure to tell him just how rude he was and he replied that he didn't care. Clearly!! Hugely disappointed. DO NOT recommend!!

Excellent food, phenomenal waitstaff and prices well under what I would expect for the superb quality of food and service. Everything about this place I'd great, my wife and I can't get enough and we both tend to be picky food snobs. I seen a negative review about the quality and price and after reading the review it was clear as day that person wasn't giving an honest review based on the quality of food, price or service instead giving a biased review because they didn't like a sign on the door. Your attempt to smear an excellent restaurant not because of their food or service was thinly veiled and frankly disgusting.
