The issue here is really about their "loyalty" programs that aren't so loyal. My first disappointing experience occurred when I purchased Christmas gift cards and was "awarded" $35 in coupons. The issue was you couldn't download them until the first of the year. By the time that came along I had the opportunity to use $5 and then next time i went to use them they were gone off my app. They told me there was a "Time limit" for using the bonus $$. My next issue occurred about a week ago. I have accumulated enough points for a free meal. I was told that there was an issue with their system and I couldn't redeem my points. I reached out to McAlisters customer service about the issues I have experienced. Debra Bianco responded with an apology (yeah just give me my stuff you lured me into using you with), a statement that says she addressed it with a feedback team (whatever that means- I haven't heard anything since), and that they value my business and will make my next visit a great one (no explanation as to how). I did respond back to ask how and again no response. So while their food is good, beware of their trickery.
Our first time visiting here. Wife had a Club half sandwich with a cup of chicken tortilla soup and a strawberry ice tea. I had a Reuben, the same cup of soup, and a strawberry lemonade. Clean establishment and environment from what I could see. You pay for your order up front. They highly encourage you to include a 10 - 15% tip in advance as you pay for your purchase. In exchange, they'll bring your food to your table and forget about you. Clearly, the tip won't be determined based on merited service. Afterwards someone might come over to bus your table before you leave - not for us though. My wife returned our trays to a nearby counter for further processing by the wait staff. No big whoop here.
This was my first visit, but definitely will not ne my last.I ordered Chicken Salad on a croissant with a side of potato salad. So delicious and fresh. I also ordered a BlackBerry Lemonade which was so refreshing.I was too hungry to think about pictures, but next time I will.
I really enjoy McAlister’s. The Savannah Chopped Salad is my ultimate fav (especially when the right person is making it and they don’t forget my extra sherry shallot dressing) and the Spicy Turkey Melt (when they don’t forget my pickle and don’t make it as if theirs only a little of every ingredients left). I tell everyone that loves a salad and/or sandwich to give this establishment a try so please pay attention to quality control. Don’t skimp out on the volume of ingredients because I ate that salad for 7 days straight and a few times it wasn’t as packed as the last and my last sandwich looked like it came off the skinny menu. There’s nothing wrong with skinny but I didn’t or a skinny sandwich. I also like their rewards program. A free very large cup of lemonade is always good (WHEN THEY DONT FORGET MY LEMON)…YES THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO MANAGE TO FORGET SOMETHING…curbside pickup is prompt and courteous. Maybe they just are out of certain items as any given time…but if you don’t have enough ingredients to make it properly then you probably just shouldn’t make it.
My coworkers and myself love the chicken tortilla soup. Only complaint is I can never order a bread bowl :( Other then that the place is awesome.
I recently moved to work in the area and I wanted to check on a chicken salad so I checked the online menu and salads looked the way I like so I called from work place twice and the phones were busy it was around 1pm, then from my car I called again and the phone calls just dropped so I decided to come directly to the place in Orland Park and what a surprise when I ordered a grilled chicken salad and I was told they didn’t have some ingredients and then asked for the savannnah salad and they said we cannot make it either so I said “wao I drove 15 minutes to get a salad and you don’t have it, I called you several times and nobody picked up the phone”… so I order the grilled chicken club which was delicious along with a potato salad and sweetened ice tea… all delicious. I was satisfied with the food I enjoyed today hopefully I will have the opportunity to check the chicken salad next time.
I went for the veggie chili but they didnt have it. Got the roasted vegtable soup. HORRIBLE!! If u like smokey flavored broth with barley any vegetables I highly recommend this slop. No Thanks what a waste of 6 dollars. I threw it out. No lunch today
We stopped for lunch and had a southwestern salad, club sandwich and veggie soup. The food was very good. The ice tea is good too.
