Thanks to my friend's high recommendation for this restaurant, I decided to go there yesterday and place an order of catfish and fried chicken with a side of mushrooms for my sister and I. Everything was prepared superbly. I was also impressed with the young lady who took my order - extremely nice! I will definitely be returning in the future.
Chicken pieces used to be ginormous and pleasantly over sized. Tonight's pieces were much smaller. Like dismantled roasters in a typical grocery store. Still had their famous flavor.
So you tell me 15 min…but walk up to a line around the corner??This place is always hit and miss..those of you who swear by it sure don’t know anything about Hienes.This place is run like a newspaper stand on a corner…do you know what that is??Chicken is sometimes undercooked, taste the old grease, or taste the burnt item that’s been sitting at the bottom…that adds to the unpleasant smoke flavorIt will survive…the name…but as far as what was produced on the SE side..this is a 5 out of 10

Food is always very good. Staff is also always friendly. Giant chicken sandwich is excellent and highly recommended. Almost everything on their menu is really good. Also recommend the Jumbo Shrimp.
Chicken and wedges excellent. Staff super friendly. Priced not to break the bank. Ask about the lunch specials.
We used them for 2 weddings in 2021 and both times the food was amazing! Any time we have ordered for pick up the food is fresh, hot and delicious. Great family owned business we love to support.
