EXCELLENT! Well balanced flavors, Not flavorless as suggested by reviewer who was unhappy with her favorite Chinese restaurant closing and was not willing to give this restaurant a fair chance.We also lost a favorite restaurant and have been looking for a year.I believe we have found our new restaurant with 5 Fong Chef.To the reviewer who thinks this is flavorless, go back to your spaghetti with ketchup mentality.
We weren’t ever big fans of the chop suey place that used to be here. But when we got the menu in the mail we decided to give the new restaurant a shot. It was very clean on the inside and the food was ready in only 15 minutes. The pineapple fried rice and pad Thai were so fresh and delicious! And they certainly have massive portions. We’ll be back!!!

I was disappointed to hear the previous restaurant at this location closed. I decided to give 5 Fong Chef a try. Major disappointment, possibly the worst Chinese food I ever ate. The fried rice and low mein tasted almost the same. The food was basically flavorless with a dash of salt.

This restaurant is new and replaced a prior business. I ordered 3 entrees and each dish was delicious. This is now my go to Chinese carry out restaurant. I am very happy with the food.
Apparently this is a hidden gem. I've lived in Orland for 30 years and just discovered this place this year. I don't know how I missed it. They have very fresh food and decent prices. And their food is good. No joke, I'm a picky person...

Im sorry but this was the tasteless Chinese food I ever tried. I ordered for delivery and could not eat it at all. Soup, lemon chicken and some Liu special... nothing was good. I eat the fortune cookie ?.
