We ordered custom cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party today. They were very friendly and accommodating since I gave less than a weeks notice that I needed 24 cupcakes. The cupcakes looked decent, nothing too over the top which is totally fine. The flavor and texture of the cupcakes, however, was pretty disappointing. The icing tasted like straight butter and had a spreadable butter consistency (I understand now that it was Swiss Meringue). The cake itself was pretty dry and flavorless. The different fruit fillings were decent but not outstanding. The size was in between a mini and what I would consider a normal size cupcake. I was expecting a little better quality for the price, $76+$14 tip for 24 cupcakes. I think they really tried and that is appreciated the taste just didn't quite hit the mark. Again the costumer service here is top notch.
Service: lovely, everyone was attentive and kind without being overbearing or obnoxious about their customer service.Todays order was an iced dirty chai latte w/ oatmilk and the vegan (and gluten free) Tuscan crepe.The dirtiness (meaning it has espresso) was really pronounced, that being good or bad is entirely personal.The deliciousness of the crepe however is not up for debate. A smooth mix of flavors that made for a easy setting breakfast, highly recommend.My husband had the bacon, egg & cheese potato crepe. While he wasn’t upset with it he did say it wouldn’t be his order for next time, “too starchy without enough flavor to balance it”.
Employed by the sweetest staff who are accommodating & always ready to offer a smile. They have great gluten free options on their menus & have the best gluten free desserts! The GF biscuit with their jam is so yummy & don't get me started on how mouth watering their GF quiches & bread for sandwiches are!! A lavender latte always hits the spot & during lunch a smoothie is always refreshing! I have purchased lots of regular cupcakes/treats for friends/coworkers & they too rave about how delicious their desserts are! It's my favorite to surprise my friend with a chocolate cupcake or vanilla latte!I have also recently used SKB for catering services or last minute Vegan orders for my place of work. The baker, Miss Annie, personally came out to speak with me & help with Vegan ideas that I needed for a youth at my place of work. She happens to be someone I went to high school with so it was a bit nostalgic & I was so happy to see her thriving & enjoying her job. When I needed to inquire about a large cupcake order for both of the locations I work at, one of the owners sat down with & answered all my questions professionally & quickly. She remembers my name when I come in & makes me feel comfortable & welcomed. They always go above & beyond my expectations every time!! The staff is thoughtful & full of wonderful ideas to make the items special.SKB is the place to go for a cozy, comfortable, warm, & welcoming environment. The owners are genuine & are visible to both their staff & customers always working hard! It's rare to see owners working as hard as their staff & I personally find it wonderful! The employees seem happy & respected; & so it comes out in the way they greet & help their customers. Every part of this team works hard & is professional & kind to the core! I always love going into this lovely café!! 10 out of 10 on all levels!!
GF and fantastic. I ate the GF Biscuits and Gravy...wow! Others had some grilled sandwiches. Excellent everything! Make the effort to eat there.
They offer many V GF options! Great vegan gluten free blueberry bundt cake!
It’s not everyday you find keto desserts that taste amazing!! This place really pulls it off. When I’m craving a guilt-free dessert they are my go-to!!!
I went here for my Birthday lunch last April and OMG their breakfast is so tasty! I had the bacon, egg, & cheese biscuit. It was delectable.. Of course I bought a cupcake as well. Let's just say, I'll be back for my birthday this year!

Beth and Kate have a beautiful cafe I’m downtown O’fallon, IL and make some very delicious, healthy vegan and gluten free options. They are also very supportive of other small businesses and always willing to lend a hand! Thank you for letting use your dishwasher!
