Delicious everything! I love the macaroons. They made our wedding cake and it was fantastic.
It’s so hard to find the right bakery and BINGO! My new fave. The cake decorator was the sweetest person and helped me pick the right fillings and choices. I specifically said I’m not a fan of fondant because I don’t like sweet cakes. Their buttercream is like silk. To die for. In addition people might not know but for their buttercream you need to let it thaw out before your event leave it out for 3-4 hours. So it’s not hard and it’s a delightful silky taste. The guests at the party were delighted and enjoyed every bite and went for seconds. Picture below I added the giraffe figures. They did the design and added the sun flower. Thank you Sugar Fixe. Bought a cake for my son's 10th and it was 75% frosting and absolutely stale. The help appeared under the influence and couldn't care less about anything other than trying to appear clueless which they successfully accomplished. I went to jewel and bought a cake, that's how terrible it was. The store appears nice from the outside but the quality of the cake was almost intentionally bad. Will never buy anything from them again.
I wanted to go there with a friend that kept telling me to try their pastries. When I arrived I was already holding the door handle and this fat lady comes barging out the door saying "WE'RE CLOSED!" As a first timer myself this was very rude and unprofessional. She could've handled the situation better like I've seen other stores, restaurant's, and bakeries do. Mind you that there was one worker behind the counter and two ladies at the front looking at the glass with pastries in it. So she could've said "I'm sorry but we're closed" or "I'm sorry we're already closing but you could buy something quick but you can't here anymore." Her reaction to me was unacceptable that I will no never again attempt buying anything here. This would've been my first time here but this place just lost a possible customer.
Recently stopped here for the first time to pick up some cupcakes, etc, for a friend's birthday. They were delish and reasonably priced. Great boxes for transport, too. Everyone was friendly. Thanks!
If you want excellent pastry this is the place to go! Our local guides brought us here for pastry after leaving another business which also served pastry....they said this was definitely the place to come. There's limited seating inside as well as out. Good location within Oak Park.
The front staff were inattentive, unhelpful with selecting the menu items with questions I had, and just very personably cold and unpleasant. At least the food items we ordered were excellent. Would come back if customer service experience were to change.
The key lime tart I had here was perfectly sour sweet and overall delicious. It was fresh and perfect. Can’t wait to come back for another
My partner and I agree that the macchiatos were delicious but the cup was practically empty. If the only difference in the small and the large is the cup and the price then please omit the large.It makes an otherwise pleasant experience very disappointing.
