This place was awesome, small little spot with authentic staff, simple atmosphere and a quaint bar. What shined was the food, fresh rice and adventurous flavored rolls, small touches of flair on old favorites and some flavorful inventive drinks. The friendly staff made sure we had a blast. The spicy honey tuna roll was a delicious surprise, and the best octopus I've had In a while. Prices seem to have understandably increased recently, but still well worth the value. Will definitely make time to return next time I'm in the city.
During Covid and now I used to go once a week and felt like a valued customer. Now the prices have all increased, they don’t offer a free roll with every $60 purchase anymore, I’m treated with no respect not even a hello from the host many times, the food portions have gotten smaller yet prices have increased. The food quality has decreased. The chef with the long black hair doesn’t wear a hair net. The host whoever it is that month doesn’t speak English well and im treated like the ugly girl at the school dance. I end up spending $70 ish dollars for two people and the love / care isn’t there anymore yet everything negative has increased. I went from a valued customer to a nobody overnight. Looking for a new sushi place now.

This was probably the WORST sushi i have ever had. I usually order once a week from different places and today i tried this place… i so regret it because the sushi was just awful. There was fuzz in one of my pieces. The ginger looked very old. The taste was just horrible. I can’t believe what i got. I’m so disappointed.

Absolutely loved this place! Best sushi and ramen I’ve had in Oak Park, hands down! They have a very warm and welcoming team that makes you feel confident the food is going to be the highest quality, and made with care. That was proven to be true, and I can’t wait to go back for more!
Good food, staff seemed half asleep and good took a while.
This is one of my favorite places. Super small only a handful of tables and the sushi is phenomenal. The owners are super nice people, they gave my daughter a really cute mask for school. This was our second time there and they remembered us from a month prior. Sometimes they get busier than expected but it is 100% worth the wait. This was a great wrap up to my Father's Day. We will be back soon
I ordered from there for pick up last night. My husband went to pick it up and accidentally to the wrong restaurant and we thought it was closed (for lease sign on the door closed). We called but got no answer so we gave up. 2 hours later we get a call that our food was sitting there waiting. We looked up a picture on Google of their storefront and realized we went to the wrong place!! So embarrassing! We had already eaten elsewhere so we didn't want another huge order of sushi. They were so so accommodating and nice about it. They even refunded us for our order even though it was our mistake. I didn't expect a refund at all so I was pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be going to them another time because the customer service was awesome. Thank you! ?
