Two years after my first review of this store, in which I gave 5 stars, I just had the absolute WORST experience here. I can honestly say that at this point, the only reason I will set foot in this store again is to redeem the deposit on the full bottles that I currently have at home. My main reason for coming here today was to redeem deposits, but also to purchase ice cream, which I didn't wind up doing because of the horrible energy I encountered from the individuals working in the store.First, at 12:10, the door was still locked, and the store is supposed to open at 12. The guy that came to the door seemed irritated that someone was at the door, and walked over to it, snatched the locked open, and simply walked away without saying a word. A woman who I'm certain was manager, was handling waffle cones with her bare hands, as I stood at the register waiting for service. Her energy was even worse than the young man who unlocked the door. Eventually she mumbled a disinterested "hi", and came to the register to ask "how many bottles. No eye contact, no "thank you", nothing, other than handing me the cash from the deposit. I don't know whether it even occurred to her that her store had just lost a sale. Maybe she will for the next customer she greets with that same negative energy. Do better, Oberweis employees, and at least try to act grateful that you still have a job. Smh.
