Though the noise level was sometimes high at our table on the sidewalk, the door and pleasant demeanor of the server more than made up for it. The avocado salad had a light but distinctive and wonderfully flavorful dressing, and the tacos that each of the three of us had were all wonderful, perfectly prepared and wonderfully seasoned. All in all, a great experience.

The Hummus and Chile Relleno were new interpretations and worked very well. Especially the hummus with chapati was delicious. The Branzino was some of the best we've ever had, with crispy skins and flavorful rice. The food was pricy, but when it's this delicious and thoughtful the expense can be worth it. However, the $14 cocktails were honestly ridiculous. I'm not even sure they had the standard 1.5 oz of liquor in them. It felt very cheap and definitely not up to the caliber of the rest of the meal. Amerikas needs to do better considering it seems to be a frequent complaint. If you don't care about an alcoholic beverage actually having alcohol in it, go for the food. It was truly delicious.

Amerikas is a great neighborhood restaurant with amazing Mexican food. Bottomless mimosas are available every day which is a plus. The Carne Asada tacos and tamales are highly recommended! The servers are very nice and attentive as well.
The food was amazing! The scallops can not be beat! Drinks were fabulous. The service was perfect. Worth a trip to beautiful Oak Park.

Tuesday brunch at a streetside table. Food was *delicious,* service friendly and attentive. I know it's nice and quiet inside, so that's why I clicked that. Sidewalk dining on Lake Street is bound to be noisy -- that's Oak Park's busy Main Street, after all.
