The smallest Beef sandwich I ever had.The meat was tender & I got it extra dipped but it made my sandwich just full of oil. The fries were nice and crispy but nothing special. I just wasted $11 could have went to Portillos. Probably not coming back.
I have eaten at Pluto's from time to time ever since they opened, and today was the first time I actually sat down inside the place.I swear the experience was so good I had to write about it! First, the gentleman at the register (owner, perhaps?) told us he was filling in for someone who had called off, and he was remembering what to do at the register. No problem...he was doing a great job.So once my family and I ordered, we found a booth by the window and they brought our food out to us. The same guy who was at the register brought everything out, and let me say that I love when restaurants are passionate about their food. He clearly enjoyed letting is know that the Italian beef is fresh, as was the pulled pork I had. He also let us know the chili is homemade, and it clearly tasted wonderful. Let me tell you...when someone is this passionate and clearly enjoys serving people his/her food, that makes the experience all that more enjoyable. You want to know how good the chili was? My 82-year-old mother-in-law gave it her stamp of approval...and it takes a lot for her to show people love when it comes to food!Anyhow, my wife and I split the chili cheese fries, I had the BBQ pulled pork with bacon, my sister-in-law and my wife both had a burger with mustard and raw onions, and my mother-in-law had the Italian beef/sausage combo with giardinera and chili. The food was awesome!!! You know when food is so good that you have to do that thing where you let your stomach relax and expand? That was us today.One more thing, though I do not know the aforementioned gentleman's name, his passion for his food really made me take notice. I know that some people have said in their reviews of Pluto's that the food is expensive...but I would argue that the food is excellent and the customer service was even better. I think their food is good but a bit pricey. I realize food prices are higher as well as labor costs but 18 bucks for 2 hotdogs w/fries, large Pepsi and fried mushrooms is a bit high. Good hotdogs and good service.
This was my first time getting drive thru at Pluto's. All I ordered was 2 hotdogs and a porkchop and pizza puff and they had me wait 25 mins pulled off to the side. I believe they messed up my order cause the 2 cars that were behind me got their food and went on way while I was still waiting. No explanation or no apologies the girl in the drive thru was rude. I'll stick to Mickeys for my hotdogs, Pluto's service was trash.
Had a grilled chicken sandwich and a large grilled chicken breast salad all for under $20.00and it was great! The grilled chicken sandwich was huge.You really get good food and large portions for your money.It an Oaklawn favorite and mine too!
Great fast-food. Hot dogs, burgers, good gyros, coukd use olives, but good. They have a drive through. Loved their soups.
Tried hot dog. No Cheap Value Combo meal. Ordered (small hot dog) and Fries. $9.00. No wonder/No Business. I could have moved my Queen size bed in there. After I ate. Just laid down. Eating Bad food makes U especially sleepy. Why are they still open?. Must B selling Edibles out back door ? . I could have saved my $9.00. And tried the Edibles. The lone cashier could have given me a sign ?. I'm not even going back for the Edibles. Oh the food. I forgot.
One of the best family owned restaurants on the Southside! The absolute best homemade soup! Great customer service and prices as well!
This was my first visit to this restaurant.Food was hot and fresh.Me and my mom enjoyed our food.Well seasoned real potato fries and delicious BBQ sauce.Will be going back for more good food and let me not leave out the lady in the drive thru taking the orders was so nice and polite.Five Stars From me and my mom⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Was my first time here and ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Once I opened I realized it was on a sub roll. I ate it but I do have to sag a sandwich bun would have been way better. Fry were fresh and hot. Customer service was great. Sandwich i didn't really like.
