Excellent breaded steak sammich ! Loaded with mozzarella, sweet peppers and ample sauce is the bomb. Italian steak sandwich also excellent.

The gnocchi comes sunk in a sea of orange goo - which consists of bland sauce and huge hunks of melted cheese. The ratio is about 3 parts sauce to 2 parts gnocchi. The “pasta” itself is a tasteless, texture less ball of soft potato and flour. Throw in a full artichoke cut in half, toss that on top of the pile, and there u have it - the worst excuse for gnocchi I’ve ever experienced. The garlic bread was…bread. There was not even a hint of garlic or any other flavor for that matter. But there were some seasoning-related burn marks on the face of the bread so u could tell there was, at one time, SOMETHING on there. Either lost all taste in the freezer or the microwave. Purely disgusting and not even cheap. $16 for a bowl of orange vomit.
Great atmosphere, great prices, first time customer (next time I'm in Chicago, will definitely come back). Frankie's serves F*CKING AWESOME food!!!! My portion was so huge had to take the majority home!!!!
I was hoping they would be able to replace Duke's but boy was I let down. At $9 a sandwich, there was hardly any meat in the sandwich and it wasn't half as good as portillos or most places in the area. I'll keep searching or just make the long trip to Taylor street for patio. It's getting pretty sad on the south side when it comes to pizza and beefs.
This is the place for Beef! Get your cannoli freshly made and enjoy the south side delicious delights here! Everything on the menu is a hit. We cater all our parties from here and everyone enjoys the Chicago experience!
Ive eaten here a few times before but never again...I asked for a cup of ice water and they told me that they dont have that and i should buy a bottled water... Im a diabetic and they had no other non sugar drinks available...they looked at me as if to say how dare you ask for that! also been there on a saturday and was told that they were too busy with their catering orders so we are closed for regular cusomers,,,
I love the food at Frankie's so the rating is for the fact that they don't give water cups which is really chintzy.
I never do this but this time I had too I had placed an order over the phone and first of all the girl was very rude the chicken sandwich was dried and over cooked my cheese sticks were burned my husbands pasta was swimming I sauce and my fries where over cooked I paid about $50 something in cash the girl never gave me a receipt I will never step a foot inside there again don’t waste your time !!!!!
Food was excellent! Ordered catering for 16 adults and had it delivered right to my door. Everyone loved it! Thank you, Frankie’s!
