So I was at Dairy Queen in Northbrook and there’s a new girl training very sweet very helpful did not get the second order right when we went to get the food the order was not in there and I went up and jasmine the manager said you didn’t order it and it doesn’t help if you walk away I told the previous girls that were helping me,three times upon order plus the girl that was helping her and for a manager to even speak like that is very disrespectful. She said I was entitled . I’m in customer service and am diss appointed on how it was handled. When I went before the service was wonderful.The burger was good. Frys one onion rings weren’t warm . The restaurant was dirty lice cream drippings and crumbs were still on the table .
Had the fish lunch special. Was great. Bigger piece of fish on the sandwich than I expected. Don't forget to grab a buster bar. Worth it
I would like to say this has been one of the best DQs we have been to the food is always fresh and amazing also the cakes they decorating are absolutely adorable! My kids love it here the staff has always been so welcoming and the Owner has always made us feel like family. During the pandemic shut down Jenn and her staff were amazing they delivered sweet treats all the way to Volo for myself and friends who bought them. The team also shows such great community pride in the town they delivered food and sweet treats to all of the different service units in town as well! Also they show there support in sponsoring kids in sports or many other opportunities that may come up.
Lazy people!! It says their are close at 10 ..and we arrived 8:40 and the doors are closed, the staff just looked at us and didn't even hesitated to just say it's close ..they pretended that they couldn't see us
Unless you like to be threatened to be thrown out (in front of your child) while shopping for said child's birthday cake, avoid this place at ALL costs. Andrew spoke to me as if I were dirt on his shoe--no greeting, just "ma'am put your mask ON!" as I struggled with the door, my keys, phone, daughter and mask. If I had not purchased a coupon I would have left immediately upon entry (I suspect many people do!). I complied as quickly as possible, and while we were browsing the cakes, I pulled my mask below my nose to better see the cakes and I guess Andrew was watching my every move--he said "Pull your mask up or I will throw you out". Again, If I had not purchased coupons for the cakes, would have left. Luckily, we were permitted to buy 2 cakes, and a decent employee named Jasmine decorated them for us. Jasmine was the only bright spot--the place itself was in disarray with sales fliers and invoices littering the tables. Honestly, I feel like giving the cakes away as I don't even want to look at them and remember the horrible treatment we received. I cannot imagine this place will be in business much longer, and I advise everyone with a child to avoid--you surely don't want to be treated like that ever, and never in front of your own child (especially when it is their birthday). I will gladly pay more next time to have an enjoyable birthday cake purchase.
I got a misty freeze float- a slushie with vanilla ice cream on top. It was so beyond good. My sister got the frozen hot chocolate and she loved it. There’s lots of flavors. Try something new and get the misty freeze float.
Visited here once a week through the summer, but will never return. New coupon terms changed to “per person” and excludes combos. That’s okay, I understand the costs, but then refused to honor two coupons for TWO persons on separate orders. Reason given, “you are together.” Wouldn’t cancel order and said customer has to call owner for refund. False advertising , plus a very, very rude manager. Will not be back and will spread the news. STAY AWAY.
Excellent DQ location With amazing burgers and blizzards. We ordered three double cheeseburgers with Oreo blizzard and all of them were delicious. The female employee working was especially friendly and helpful.
Friendly service and custom cake was made exactly as instructed. Parking is a bit tight and entry / exit to Dundee during traffic is brutal.
This is one of two favorite DQs. The service is always friendly and you can expect fun treats and good food. The order and waiting area is a bit small, so be prepared if you're bringing the soccer team. But there's a good amount of seating and a large area to wait outside.
