I’m going to start off with I used to love Tony’s tacos. But after last night I will not order from here again. Last night placed an order for 103 dollars I ordered 6 barria tacos 3 shrimp 3 chicken tacos 2 horchatas 2 choco flan 3 regular flan and a tres leches and a lime soda. Let’s start with for 6 barria tacos they only sent one little container of the dip for 3 people seriously not ok. Didn’t even receive any of the drinks. The dessert was completely messed up my dasher called and said they were out of regular flan cool send tres leches instead thought we were good nope. Got 3 chocolate flan which was nasty we ordered one to try it and 2 cheesecakes also not good didn’t get one piece of tres leches. The shrimp in the tacos was way over cooked I’m not sure what happened here quality went way down received my food cold which had never happened before.
I have ordered from this place multiple times using Doordash at least 5 times. And out of those 5 times, my food has been delivered only once. They kept canceling my order after an hour of waiting. I keep going back after a while, thinking that it would be different next time, but it never is. Their food is good, but not good enough for the potential disappointment you will most likely get if you order for delivery. I'm definitely not going back.
I ordered almost $200 worth of food for my co-workers. They forgot 3 tacos, guac, and some dipping for Bria’s. Food was cold. No biggie, it’s a big order it happens. I called to ask for a refund for the tacos so I can re-emburst the co-worker that had to go without lunch, they told me no because they gave it to me in one of the boxes labeled something else. I said I already handed the food out, that’s still your mistake, I would like money back so I’m not paying out of pocket for your mistake… they refused. Stingy with $12 when I just spend $200? Get real. Didn’t even offer anything else. That’s a completely unprofessional and bad business morals. I spend my lunch arguing with them and didn’t even get to eat. Thanks a lot! Hope that $12 keeps you from going bankrupt.
The food here is exceptional! The guacamole is the best in Bloomington. The first time we visited, the owner came to our table and thanked us for coming in. Super personable, very yummy, cannot recommend enough! We are weekly regulars now. :)
We are addicted to the grilled chicken tacos. My 5 year old begs me to bring him to get a chicken taco often. All around great tacos!
Went again Friday March 5th and nothing has changed. Food is still F*CKING FANTASTIC!!!!!! This time I noticed a few more wall hangings. I took pics of the 2 I ❤
This place has good days and bad days. The very first time my fiance and I went their the food was great along with the drinks we got. Now everytime we go there it's disappointing. Today we went there and was told our meal would take 20 mins then we get there and have to wait another 15 mins. So we come back and get our food make it all the way home and the food barely has any steak in them (we got a steak burrito and a steak chimichanga) mainly lettuce. So we waited 35 mins for bad service and food. My fiance never wants to get food from them again.
I would not recommend this place at all. It’s hard enough to find authentic Mexican food in a small town in central Illinois. This isn’t the place for good Mexican food. Veracruz has the best tacos in this town hands down. Don’t waste your money at Tony’s tacos.
Absolutely the best tacos I have ever had in my life!
I got some birria tacos had no flavor at all the meat was dry like no seasoning at all. Only good thing was the Queso.
