Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - delicious overallA3) Rice Cake with spicy sauce was delicious. The rice cake had a nice chewy texture without being too sticky and a slight sweetness to accompany the spicinessE8) Beef Bone Soup and E9) Spicy Beef Soup were nicely flavored and makes you want to come back for more. Unfortunately, the beef in both were really toughC5) Spicy Pork Stir Fry had some good mixture of vegetables and protein. Great flavors, good kick, but some of the pork pieces were extremely fattyN4) Spicy Cold Buckwheat Noodles had actual ice in it! The noodles were nice and chewy but the sauce was a bit watery from the iceAmbience: 5/5 - clean and bright. Earlier in the evening so fairly quiet when we first got there. By the time we were leaving, lots of tables and drinks flowingService: 5/5 - the female server didn't seem to speak English fluently but was very polite. They took our orders and were able to make some recommendationsValue for price: 5/5 - good food, large servings, quick service
Like most all korean places in Chicago, started off OK. Now it's not worth it at all. The quality went from decent to trash in only a few months. I understand things are getting more expensive but you can't even fill the rice and only give half portions for to go orders? Not worth the hassle just never gonna go back. The quality of the meat in is all fat in the galbi tang. You can't even make that right. Sad
Good korean comfort food. I believe our server was the owner. She was super nice and made sure we were taken good care of. Would definitely go again!
First visit in March 2022, very authentic! Amazing Korean food!2nd visit in May 2022, not as good as first visit.3rd and last visit in July 2022, why the quality deteriorates so quickly???
This was our first time eating Korean food. Our server was very helpful and pointed out some of the most popular items. We tried a large sampling and enjoyed everything! I'm looking forward to going back!
I think this might be my new favorite Korean restaurant! My (Korean) mom and sister went the night before and when I mentioned I wanted Korean cold noodles (naeng myun), they suggested to go to Tang again, although they went the day before. We loved the service, food, easy parking, openness of the restaurant, and how fresh everything was!
Very homey restaurant. We had a great time and the service was very quick. Staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. I had the Bulgogi beef with rice and my partner she had the kimchi Jjiage. Paired the dishes with Cass a very smooth and tasty beer.
One of the better Korean restaurant in cook county. One of the must try Korean restaurant...
Amazing. What a spectacular find. You know a place is good if expats and koreans themselves frequent the place. Its about an 18 table hole in the wall restaurant in a strip mall. So plenty of parking and easy to find. Very clean inside with good space at the tables. The food here is amazing and the prices are fairly reasonable. Cheaper then most other places in comparison. The sides are fresh and you can tell, homemade. Very flavorful and delicious. You can tell they don't cheap out on anything and there is a standard and pride of quality here. This has shot to one of my top 5 restaurants. But what makes this place amazing is the service. I've been to Michelin star restaurant that didn't have as attentive and friendly staff. Its a family organization full of nice regulars and jokey staff. It really makes you feel comfortable and if your visiting friends. Just that fact alone is enough to make me a regular.
Excellent Korean stews and dishes w plenty of banchan. Understated modern interior w friendly service, will be coming back for sure!
