Not the best place for a flavorful meal. However, this place was SO clean, I could've eaten off the floor. Very polite staff. The food just missed the mark. The elotes were quite awful and the tacos themselves were rather flavorless. Maybe we went on a bad night, or the cook was having an off day, but I wouldn't come here for a super stellar meal. I will say the amount of queso you get for $7 is AMAZING and it was tasty, but that's about it. :(
No meat on my steak tostadas. Worst customer service, I am still waiting for a call back from the “manager” according to Emily. Sophia also told me the manager would call and I am still waiting for that call after 3 days. They state customer service is their priority when you call, NOT. don’t eat here, it’s way to expensive anyway. $25 for meatless tostadas that tasted nasty.
0 ⭐️ Star Rating. First time, never again. Tostada without meat and it ended up being my fault. When does someone order tostadas without meat. Manager treater me poorly and never called me back after trying to resolve the matter and having them issue me the refund for tostadas. $20 for 4 meatless tostadas. HORRIBLE!
The first time i came here I got a taco dinner, which I thought was okay for the most part. I enjoyed my steak taco but I was not a fan of the chicken (overcooked and dry) and rice/beans also seemed like it has been sitting there all day, if not multiple days ?But last night was a really different experience: my mom and I went here for dinner last night. We ordered 2 tacos each and a shared a side of guacamole. This is not a fancy or upscale nice restaurant at all whatsoever - it's your basic cheap Mexican restaurant (at least it in quality) but we were charged over $40 for our dinner. We both drank water. We were obviously overcharged and didn't notice until it was too late. The worst part of it was the food wasn't even that great, the steak was overcooked AND over seasoned. And also we ordered our tacos with raw onions instead of cooked onions and it was clearly spoiled. (you can tell just by looking at the onions but they also smell and taste bad. now I understand why they don't offer raw onions on any of their tacos)
We ordered the food and picked it up. It is way over priced. The good didn’t have much flavor. The salsa tasted more like marinara sauce than salsa. They don’t lacked the to go food well. Just threw my fajitas in a box that leaked oil and grease. No bottom paper no nothing. Not very sanitary either. Will not come here again. Almost $50 just for fajitas and 3 tacos. I think Taco Bell would have treated better and they’re gross.
One of the best Taco Salads I've had. 1st time I went there, I ordered the buy2+1 steak taco. That was good too. Their chips are phenomenal. I almost finished the whole basket. And they have a bar that you can choose your own sauce, dips and the pickled carrots & jalapeños are perfect. Not too sweet... not too hot.Definitely highly recommended.
My favorite local tacos! I will be moving a little further away unfortunately, if you guys can open up a place near Buffalo Grove or Deerfield next, that would be awesome, so I can keep ordering tacos from you :)
Our first time here.we ordered spicy potato, Nashville Hot taco, and Veggie Delite… spicy potato is heaven… good value for money ! Their salsa option is mild to spicy and delicious . Will come back here again ? !
I still love the food here but $4 for a soda and food prices up 30% means I’ll have to take a hard pass and look elsewhere. Dinner for 2 was $48 before tip. Goodbye Taco Maya. It was a good run for sure but it’s time we part ways.
Amazing Tacos, fajitas, burritos, flan & Peanut butter resees cake
