This Friday was my first time at this establishment, and definitely my last! After arriving at the establishment, I went up to the bar to order a drink. When I was asked what I wanted to drink, I responded "Can I get a bourbon on the rocks, just nothing bottom shelf please." I was served my drink, and was asked if I would like to open up a tab (which I did).About 30 minutes later I went back up to the bar to order a second drink. They refused to serve me staying I was cut-off. When I asked why, their response was "You're cut-off because you're clearly already intoxicated because you didn't even know what you wanted to drink the first time you ordered." Keep in mind, when I first ordered, I asked specifically for bourbon, just not bottom shelf bourbon. Apparently, in their eyes, not specifying the exact brand name of bourbon desired constitutes intoxication. Rather than contesting that illogical decision making on their end, I politely asked to close out my tab (which I don't even know why I was asked to open a tab in the first place, if they planned on not serving me another drink), and resumed socializing with my friends.Having been cut-off after one drink was not even what warranted the one star rating.About 20 minutes later, I asked for a glass of water. This is the point where my evening was absolutely ruined. The bartender rudely responded to my water request saying "I'm not giving you water. Why would I give you anything when you didn't even tip me earlier?"Wow! I'm 38 years old and I've gotta say, that's one of the most childish, rude, and unprofessional things I I've seen/heard in the service industry yet. I don't tip on my credit/debit cards, nor do I tip after every drink. Before leaving, I usually tip one larger cash amount based on overall service throughout the entire evening.Never again!

Great food. Service is a little slow but worth the wait. Very busy every day of the week. Perfect dinning and drinking location.

Fantastic Dinner and great service!!Sampler: fried chicken tenders, onion rings, Cajun pickle spears, and mozzarella sticks.12oz New York green beans and mashed potatoes. (It was definitely bigger than 12oz)Fire House Burger: jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, spicy mayo and fresh avocado.Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream topped with Walnuts and sauce. (Best I've had in awhile)

I am giving the food at JBD in New Lenox, a 5 star rating because it was really good. I recommend the Pot Roast Tacos(Delicious) along with their Onion Rings & Wings are Superb. Our server was really attentive and nice, offered suggestions and was good with service. I was a little Disappointed with the female manager, who not once came over to our table to say Hello or just check on how things are etc, No engagement/interaction with us,,,although she stopped at every table around and next to & near us but Not our table not even a smile. We are of a different ethnicity but we were still paying customers just like any other customers there. Other than that, the food there is Good.

Some friends and I came here recently for some drinks and snacks. Since the place looked pretty empty when we entered, we asked if they minded putting some tables together for us so that we could sit together. The waitress shared that she needed to ask permission first. A manager came over and stated that they would be able to put the tables together for us today because it happened to be a rare slow night but that if we showed up again without calling on a Thursday night, we could forget it. She communicated these things in a rude and overly assertive way. We wouldn’t have asked if the tables weren’t available and the restaurant was busy.. just a tip for that manager - don’t reprimand your customers like children or your employees. We have lots of other options. In fact, Thursday night we left your establishment without ordering anything, we went to Tom Kelley’s instead. They were grateful for the business, friendly, and flexible. Sorry you missed out of our $, honey.

The food here is excellent and the atmosphere upbeat. I had the Monday burger special and he had the pot roast quesadilla. Great service from Lorna.

Heard great things about this place so gave it a couple of tries. First time in we were pleasantly greeted and even shown around the restaurant and outdoor patio. Staff was great. Tried the pot roast grilled cheese- good but not crave worthy. Second try was to give their famous burgers a go. Sat at the bar and bartender was gruff at best. Maybe you need to be a local? Burger was very well done even though we asked for medium. Got charged a split plate fee because we shared the burger and fries, even though we ordered a $7 Anti- Hero and $6 point of Guinness. We know a lot of places that will cook a burger right, have pleasant staff and do not charge to split a burger. I think we'll stick with those places.

The white horse never disappoints! Best Reuben and wings in town. If you love pot roast try the Shawncy. You won’t regret it.

First time there today and they have amazing food. Service was over the top!!! Outstanding!!! We will be back and plan to get new stuff every time.

If you are a bartender or a server looking for a place to work, do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment at all costs. In my 20 years working in the industry this place takes the cake for clicks, hostility, rudeness, and inconsistencies; starting from the ownership down. Everyone is a manager and has a different agenda and you're along for the ride. They have a reputation for a hostile work environment, and high turnover for new hires and it was crystal clear why. As a seasoned veteran in the service industry I know a toxic, no win dynamic when I see one. Awesome food and atmosphere to be a customer, but if you value your integrity and being treated fairly keep looking right past this place. Apply at your own risk.
