This place has improved significantly since it has become Amigas Lucky Penny. Breakfast is delicious, service is great and I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they also have a Mexican Dinner menu and open until 8pm. Very good and flavorful steak and Chorizo tacos. Also very friendly staff and good prices. Highly recommend this place. Truly authentic Mexican food. While the menu may not show any vegan options they did say they can make avocado tacos and I am sure they can customize a veggie taco or quesadilla

The restaurant was clean and bright. The interior is old fashion, which looks really nice, and the vibe was nice as well. I like the interior and some of the artwork they have. The customer service is definitely outstanding. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating at the same time. I could really feel their care towards a customer like me. Even if I have not ordered yet, I like the restaurant because of the customer service. They also have a wide menu with a lot of options for both breakfast and lunch. All the food sounds good to me. The prices also seem fair and reasonable. I was alone, and I only ordered their Mexican skillet. The customer service here is really great because they also serve food quickly. I even thought that I would wait longer considering that the restaurant is quite packed. I am just glad that they served my order quickly. The skillet has a nice portion and is definitely reasonable for its price. It looks good, and it tastes even better when I get to taste it. I like it too because it has good flavor and seasoning. There was the perfect amount of chorizo, and I really liked the Mexican skillet overall. The coffee I ordered together with the skillet was also a good one.I really enjoyed dining in this restaurant for the very first time, and I am sure that it will not be the last.

Searched for “diner” and this place was number 2 on the list. Decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised and happy about the decision. Came in around 10:30 am and had Jose as my server. Wonderful person and very attentive. Wasn’t slow in the restaurant but wasn’t busy either. Coffees was awesome.Ordered some French toast with scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage with a blueberry coffee cake. Their have 2 types of French toast - thin or thick - and I got the thick. They also offer pure maple syrup for a small charge. Everything was of better quality and tasted great. The stand outs were the bacon and blueberry coffee cake. The bacon was fresh and was crispy. Most blueberry coffee cakes have a problem with being too moist. To my surprise it was not and was absolutely great. The coffee cake it cooked perfectly without being too dry and the little drizzle on top sets it off.I recommend trying this place. Looks super small from the outside but has much more room on the inside. They also have art work on the walls that are for sale on behalf of the ‘Aurora Art League.” Maybe buy some art while you eat.

After going to this restaurant quite a few times now, I can say that it is a good one. Even though it is small, it is not crowded, and there is always enough space. The restaurant itself is clean, and the ambiance is fine, casual, and cozy. They have a fantastic menu with a wide variety of options, including literally everything I could want for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I went here to grab some lunch, and I ordered a skillet and toast, which is what I usually order. Customer service is great. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they serve the food really quickly. Back to the skillet, I do not have anything to say other than it is good. As for the toast, their toast is also good, and it is served with house jam, which is really a perfect combination for the toast. Their food is really good, and their prices are very reasonable. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to their food, and I am looking forward to it. If you are looking for a decent spot for brunch and lunch, I recommend this restaurant.

Really great food and service. Especially recommend the home made doughnuts.

Angie was my server both days I ate there. The first day, I had eggs Benedict. It was pretty good but I was disappointed that the hollandaise sauce seemed a bit runny. I brought friends back two days later (they are closed on Wednesday) and really enjoyed the meal. I'm picky about corned beef hash. Lucky Penny's was doggone good!

Oh, my goodness! What a great little restaurant. Our first time here and everything was absolutely delicious! Angie took care of us and she was a delight. The Lucky Penny will easily become a new favorite. Highly recommend!

1st time here. I had the Greek Omelet which was light and fluffy. Service was fast and courteous. I shall return next time I'm in the area.

We've eaten here twice now and both times everything has been amazing! I'm 5 months pregnant and constantly craving their fries, so we will definitely be back.

Awesome!, Diner atmosphere with lots of local art on the wall.Had the Gyro skillet for breakfast and it was delicious. Gotta try the blueberry Coffee cake it is a breakfast in itself. Check out the pictures. Clean and very friendly.
