Foods just ok, not Portillos of old. Been coming here everytime I visit and foods always just ok. Theory is since they sold out, it's not the same, which is a bummer.
Growing up in Chicago, you learn quickly that ketchup on a hot dog is a HARD PASS! You also learn about one of Chicago's Hot Dog Legendary spots, Portillo's Hot Dogs.While this certainly isn't my first visit to Portillo's, it is time to share my experiences. The restaurant has a relaxed vibe, where you can enjoy your meal with friends. Their menu includes a variety of Italian Beef, Chicken, Salads & Hamburger Sandwiches. But it is the Vienna All-Beef Hot Dogs that most people come for. You can order one anyway you want, so be adventurous! I promise you will NOT be disappointed.Their French Fries & Onion Rings are also delicious, so make sure to order some along with your meal. If you crave Dessert, then I definitely recommend ordering the Portillo's Chocolate Cake. It is moist, rich and full of intense chocolate flavors throughout. If you prefer to "drink" your cake, you can also order the "Chocolate Cake Shake". Once you have tried it, it will be your "go-to" indulgence.The food is always hot and delicious, every visit. So, I highly recommend that you visit Portillo's Hot Dogs for a casual meal. Once you do, you will definitely want to come back!

Typical Portillos but you can get some pasta here. Not sure how the pasta is, but the vegan hot dog was good.
Today was the last straw for me. My order was missing the jumbo chili cheese dog. Prior to tonight, we've had 4 or 5 occasions where items were missing and we never complained. Never again. Bubye.
Waited over an hour to get my food that was preordered online because they wouldn’t allow people inside due to staff shortages. I completely understand that, but you should be able to pick up online orders inside and if not at the very least, update your website to let customers know what is going on or shut off online ordering. Beyond unprofessional.
It took an hour to get the food they were very busy and was trying really hard for that I understand but when I got home and looked at my food what they served me was beyond ridiculous for some reason the picture won’t post otherwise I would show them and then I tried to call back no one would answer the phone I called up to four times and it just kept hanging up after a while I’ll never go back again for the price I paid it was unacceptable
An absolute iconic establishment that never misses our expectations! We strolled in mid afternoon to no wait and an amazing aroma! We both ( trying to eat healthier) ordered the meat bowls and French fries (logic works in our heads) and they were amazing. Such an absolute treat!!
I went here to grab a quick lunch, and since it is Portillo's, all I could ever want is basically their Italian beef sandwich and a chocolate cake shake. Like the other Portillo’s around here, this location is wide, spacious, clean, the interior looks cool and amazing, and, of course, it was very busy. I really regret not ordering it for pick up at the time. The line was long and I had to wait until it was my turn. The employees seem efficient, and I saw that they are really trying their best to make the service faster and better. I did not really wait too long, and the staff at the counter were really nice. When it comes to the food, I can say that I am satisfied with it. Everything is on point. I mean, the Italian sandwich was fresh and hot, and as usual, it tasted really good. I also like the other sandwiches they have, but their Italian beef sandwich is my favorite. Meanwhile, the chocolate shake is also good and can really satisfy anyone’s craving. It also really lifts my mood. All in all, I had a good time grabbing some lunch at this location of Portillo's, and I am certain that I will be back.
Always tasty Italian beef! Yummy chocolate shake. Gave a lot of fries. Comfort food that's consistent and hits the spot. First time dining in for a long time. Service was fast as usual. Dining area was not as crowded pre-pandemic, but the drive thru line was super long. Same great energy. Clean and spotless dining room and restrooms.
